Financially, we finished the year over $2000 ahead of where we begin last January, thanks in part to the excellent attendance at the meetings

We capped the year off with a very enjoyable Christmas Party at the Shrine Club! The attendance was over 100 and after a delicious dinner by Middle of the Isle, we partied and danced to the excellent music played by our DJ Bernie Braak. Lynne Willis and Laura Hudson and the social committee arranged a Chinese Auction for the benefit of the Junior Shag Association. With the generosity of all present we were able to raise $700 for the Junior Shaggers so many thanks to all who supported our fundraiser. We also gave out a number of door prizes to allow as many people as possible to win a prize. We had excellent attendance this year averaging slightly over 73 people per meeting. Financially, we finished the year over $2000 ahead of where we begin last January, thanks in part to the excellent attendance at the meetings and to those who chose the annual payment option. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our board members, and the committee chairs and their committees for their hard work and enthusiasm. My sincere appreciation to all of the members for their support and more importantly for attending the meetings. We have an excellent slate of officers for next year and I am looking forward to a great 2016 for the Shag Club. The Cape Fear Shag Club has a tremendous potential for growth and we have made a significant step forward. As I say goodbye, I am honored and very grateful for the opportunity to have served as your President for Best Wishes for a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Abe Walston
