Mr. Kelly Bunn PO Box 6600 Peace River, Alberta T8S 1S4 Dear Mr. Bunn, I write to you as Coordinator of the City of Grande Prairie s Fostering Diverse Communities Conference to invite your Municipal Council and Administration to attend our event on April 30 and May 1, The focus of the Conference is cultural diversity and inclusion with sessions on Aboriginal customs and traditions, integration of newcomer youth, sharing of newcomers stories, culture shock, how to develop and implement a Welcoming Communities Plan, the Temporary Foreign Worker program challenges and misconceptions, and Canada s Multiculturalism Act and policies in relation to communities. We also have a session on Municipal Best Practices for Inclusive & Respectful Engagement of Urban Aboriginal Populations. Anyone interested in building welcoming and inclusive communities is welcome to attend, particularly delegates from around the Province of Alberta including municipalities, businesses, libraries, and non-profit organizations. It is open to everyone.
