Tickets on sale now join us for a relaxing, fun afternoon. ANZAC DAY On Wednesday 24th April an ANZAC Day service will be held at the Range Care Cottage from 10.30am. Services with the Mapleton State School commences at 9:15am in the Memorial Park. Montville State School commences at 2pm in front of the Memorial Gates. These will also be held on Wednesday 24th. And the public are welcome. Come and see what a wonderful service our children conduct in remembrance of our fallen. Lest we Forget April 25th. Dawn Service in Montville Memorial Precinct commencing at 5.30am. April 25th. March and service at Mapleton. Marchers to form up at Wilga Court at 8.15am. March steps off at 8.30am and service commences at 8.45am. Guest Speaker is Colonel Scott Gills. Refreshments will be served at the Lil Bowman Cottage on completion of the service. Anyone wishing to lay a wreath on the day please contact Denis Condon on prior to April 24th.

3 Maleny Arts Council opening show Mystery in the Air bringing you the Golden Age of Radio Drama in hilarious comedy with TV comedian Michael Veitch and Simon Oats. Maleny Community Centre Sunday April 7 at 2pm. To book follow prompts on or Maleny Information Centre. Mapleton Bowls Club have a very special day coming up on Anzac day 25/04/2019. It will be the first time that night bowls will be played since the club opened. The format for this game is: open to ALL BOWLERS, SOCIAL MEMBERS, AND COME AND TRY BOWLERS. The club and bar will open at 4pm. Bowlers are required to be at the club by 4.30pm, game starts at 5pm. The cost of this special event is $10 which includes PIZZA after the game. For non players it will cost $5 for PIZZA after game. There will be a lucky door prize and a raffle, with give a ways for touches. Nominations for this event are now been taken, put your names on the Special ANZAC DAY SHEET. Nominations for this event will close Tuesday the 23/04/2019 at 6pm. The Library also celebrates and supports local artists by providing space to display their artworks. Local aspiring and established artists can apply to be a feature artist at the Library. Neighbourhood Watch Kureelpa Dulong The future dates for 2019 Neighbourhood Watch Kureelpa Dulong Meetings are: May 14th, August 13th, November 12th. Residents of Mapleton are most welcome to attend. They are held in the Kureelpa and Dulong Community Hall. We share common concerns with Mapleton Village and there is much to be gained by showing the politicians that we are a large group. The circulation for our Newsletters to letterboxes is over 600 houses and growing. This includes Shamley Heath, Kureelpa, Dulong, and Spring Pastures. 5 To all photographers To celebrate the wonders of our region, it has been proposed MADCA runs a photographic display. Many have supported this suggestion. Where: Mapleton community Library has the space if you would like to display your images mapletonqueensland@gmail.com When: Book a month to display your photographic art on the above. One month already booked. Community Service Old pairs of spectacles: Thank you from Lions many donations received. All are appreciated. If you have any that you no longer require, Lions is happy to take them off your hands. They are recycled to needy communities. Glasses can be left at the Mapleton Community Library. Glasses cases are not required. JP service at the Mapleton Community Library: Telephone to arrange an appointment. A Facebook group has been established to promote activities and events in and around Mapleton (Queensland) as an initiative of the Mapleton and District Community Association (MADCA).
