6 Millions for HOPE At last year s Foundation Seminar, we announced our new Millions for HOPE campaign. HOPE stands for Health, Overcoming Poverty, Education. This is our district initiative to benefit The Rotary Foundation s mission to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. These things can only be accomplished with the generosity of our individual club members time, talent and treasure. The purpose of this message is to ensure your awareness of this effort, and to ask that you welcome our Rotarian speakers that come to talk to your club members about the Millions for HOPE campaign. Our goal through the Millions for HOPE campaign is to identify $15,000,000 in donations and bequests to The Rotary Foundation. We anticipate this goal will be primarily achieved by having Rotarians name The Rotary Foundation as a beneficiary in their will or trust. This campaign will culminate in a Millions for HOPE Foundation Gala on October 17, We are pleased to announce that the featured speaker will be Rotary International President K. R. "Ravi" Ravindran. I believe that President Ravindran s interest in Millions for HOPE, along with his direct support and attendance at our final program, is a great compliment to our District. I hope that you are able to be a part of this ambitious campaign, as a gift to the world. DG Janice Kurth - See more at:
