3 INSTALLATION DINNER Held Saturday, January 28 th at the San Mateo Marriott Our Past Vice Grand, Ralph Huerta, again did a phenomenal job! The Installation Dinner was fantastic. There were 105people in attendance. We started the night out in the courtyard with appetizers and drinks. The weather cooperated (no rain), and with the heat lamps it was quite comfortable. The doors opened and we were able to go in and choose our dinner companions at the tables. We started with the installation of the 2012 officers, lead by John Fraher, and assisted by Ron Carrey. It was noted that it was one of the most efficiently done in recent years. Afterwards we had roll call, MCed once again by Frank Lagomarsino. He, as always, did a great job! We danced the night away, until the DJ said last dance of the night CRAB FEED Saturday, February 11 A VERY full house, 90+ in attendance. The crab was the sweetest, tastiest crab we ve ever had! Coordinated by Tom & Tammy Manini, assisted by many; The drawing gifts were probably the most we ve ever had! Many people were very generous in donating baskets and items. The grand prize was crab dinner for 20, along with a case of 6 bottles white wine, and 6 bottles red wine. We d like to thank the American Legion Hall in Pacifica for their generosity once again in letting us use the hall. VISITATION Bayview Lodge #109 Redwood City Thirteen folks met at Harry s Hof Brau in Foster City before taking off to our visitation; Carl & Mercedes Steder, Ralph, Raphael & Virginia Huerta, Ed & Rose Schneider, Sue Texeira, Julie Ballard, Chris Zeck, Haim Cezana, and Tom & Tammy Manini. We were warmly greeted by the folks from the Redwood City Lodge. Their lodge is beautiful, having been renovated some years ago. After doing lodge business Chris Zeck was invited up to bring Bayview Lodge up to speed with our lodge happenings. The meeting was adjourned, and we were invited for cake and fellowship in their dining room. We thank Carl for arranging the evening, and to Bayview Lodge for their hospitality.

4 TREATS RESPONSIBILITY Each meeting we bring wonderful treats to our lodge. Anyone doing this realizes it is a LOT of work! Most of us just do it once a year, so it maybe hard to remember what is required. Following is a checklist to help when you are bringing treats: 1) Sign up with Chris Zeck (415) or at a lodge meeting to arrange to bring treats 2) The treats limit is $150.00, excluding drinks and paper products. They are already at the Lodge. 3) Arrive at the hall by 7:00pm, and arrange access by getting the lodge key from any of our five elected officers (see list at top of newsletter) 4) Make sure you know the combinations to the locks upstairs. Elected officers have combinations. 5) You will probably miss the meeting the night you have treats. If you need to report on something, get a helper. 6) When the treats are complete, you must clean up the hall. Along with help from the other members, make sure that the tables and chairs are put back. 7) You must lock all the cabinets upstairs as well as the hall when you are exiting the building. ATTENDANCE AND RAFFLE WINNERS: As an incentive to those who attend meetings, there is a name drawn at each meeting, and the winner receives a $$ prize.
