2 January 25 th Installation Dinner & Roll Call of Members Basque Cultural Center, SSF. From our Vice Grand This year s installation and Roll Call dinner will be held at the Basque Cultural Center. Scott Porter and the Hot Rods Band will provide good rockin oldies for us to dance the night away to! Invitation is posted on the Lodges website. This year, I am proud to tell you that we have a large group of members celebrating over 25+ years of membership and they are going to be honored that evening. 3 Dinner and Sea Chantys evening Saturday, November 2 nd. Lodge members & guests started off the evening with a wonderful dinner at Cappuros at Fisherman s Wharf in SF. After dinner we walked over to the Balclutha, a short walk down the wharf where it is permanently moored at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. We had the pleasure of listening to Sea Chantys provided by members & special guests from the National Park Service. There were audience members who also shared their knowledge. Afterwards many of us wandered out onto the deck, enjoyed the stars & the evening sky. All in all a wonderful and unique event Holiday Party From Carol Fraher, Vice Grand This year s Holiday Party was the best attended in many a year. Over 125 members & their families gathered at the San Mateo Elks to enjoy each other s company. As usual, Tammy & Tom Manini did an amazing job of hosting this event you guys are wonderful. The tables were set and we were ready when gusts began arriving. There was lots of conversations and catching up among old friends. There were crafts to keep the kids busy and adults were able to keep posted on the 49er game while we awaited dinner and Santa! Special thanks go out to Jenny and Armand Dadoun for the wonderful photo memories. A VERY special thank you to Dennis Carrey for being the BEST Santa our Lodge could ever have. I would like to offer a special thank you to all the members who participated in the gifts for the South San Francisco Boys & Girls Club your generosity made a child s day a bit brighter!

4 TREATS RESPONSIBILITY Each meeting we bring wonderful treats to our lodge. Anyone doing this realizes it is a LOT of work! Most of us just do it once a year, so it may be hard to remember what is required. Following is a checklist to help when you are bringing treats: NOTE: Treats budget has been increased to $175 1) Sign up with Tammie Manini at (650) (or at a lodge meeting to arrange to bring treats) 2) The treats limit is $175.00, excluding drinks and paper products. They are already at the Lodge. 3) Arrive at the hall by 7:00pm, and arrange access by getting the lodge key from any of our five elected officers (see list at top of newsletter) 4) Make sure you know the combinations to the locks upstairs. Elected officers have combinations. 5) You will probably miss the meeting the night you have treats. If you need to report on something, get a helper. 6) When the treats are complete, you must clean up the hall. Along with help from the other members, make sure that the tables and chairs are put back. 7) You must lock all the cabinets upstairs as well as the hall when you are exiting the building. ATTENDANCE AND RAFFLE WINNERS: As an incentive to those who attend meetings, there is a name drawn at each meeting, and the winner receives a $$ prize. Mary Gutierrez had tripped and fell Thomas (Danny) King Sister Rosann Fraher Hospitalized with Cancer New Odd Fellow website: Created by Odd Fellows for Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. This consists of forums for open discussion on general topics and also gives members the ability to create blogs, add calendar events, etc. It is hoped that this will be a good platform to carry Odd Fellowship further to the world. Registration process is simple.
