2 Heidi s remarks: Heidi read abut the The Benefits f Service in Recvery frm the Tled AA Newsletter frm December 18, 2017: Service in recvery benefits bth the giver and receiver. In a lt f instances it will actually be the giver wh ends up benefiting the mst. Such benefits include: Thse peple wh devte sme time t helping thers are less likely t suffer with depressin. Helping thers with prblems reminds the individual f where they have cme frm. This will keep the pain f dysfunctin fresh in their minds s that they never frget it. This shuld keep them cmmitted t the recvery path. The giver will feel that they are giving back and this will increase their cnfidence and selfesteem. Helping thers takes the fcus ff the individual. This is imprtant because a lt f prblems in the recvering A.A. s life will be due t self-absrptin. Prviding service ensures that grups such as A.A. stay in business. 5 A third Hmebund meeting was held n December 28 with five peple attending fr a member wh is recvering frm hip surgery.
