1 2017 Annual District II Meeting Preliminary Program Be Well in Bermuda Fairmont Southampton Southampton, Bermuda October CMEs Jointly provided by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
2 WELCOME Dear Colleague, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to energize, educate and engage with us this fall during District II s Annual Meeting (ADM). I am truly looking forward to three days of educational programming, networking, and social events at the Fairmont Southampton on the beautiful island of BERMUDA! This year s program will encompass two days of trending scientific lectures PLUS a bonus third day on Physician Wellness. What better place to Be Well than in Bermuda! District II s dynamic program will provide you with a foundation of knowledge, techniques, and best practices to help you succeed in the ever-changing field of obstetrics and gynecology. I am grateful to the District II Annual Meeting Program Committee for developing an excellent program featuring critically acclaimed faculty from across the country. Our Scientific Program Co-Chairs, Kevin C. Kiley MD, FACOG and Laura MacIsaac, MD, MPH, FACOG, are to be commended for their academic guidance and leadership. They have also been instrumental in helping us navigate the island. For 2017, we are pleased to have Cornelius O. Skip Granai III, MD, FACOG, FACS join us for a lecture on developing trusting and collaborative relationships with patients. Additionally, we are excited to have Charles J. Lockwood, MD, MHCM, FACOG join us for two lectures, one on the management of VTE in pregnancy and the other, a panel discussion with Peter E. Nielsen, MD, Col, MC, FACOG on cesarean delivery. This year s Martin L. Stone, MD lecture is Ovarian, Peritoneal, and Fallopian Tube Epithelial Cancer presented by past District II Chair, Eva Chalas, MD, FACOG, FACS, and this year s Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD lecture is Expanding Genetic Screening in OB Practice What s New? presented by Michael Mennuti, MD, FACOG. I strongly encourage you to take advantage of your time in Bermuda. Whether on your own, with your spouse, or with the whole family, discover the island s legendary pink sand beaches, indulge in fine dining, and enjoy the natural beauty of the island on an outdoor adventure. Whatever your ADM experience holds, we are confident you will leave feeling refreshed and with a new sense of calming confidence. Get your passports ready and don t forget the sunscreen.
