Dr. Alfred B Kobal, MD, OMS»Occupational exposure to Hg«Biography Over 40 years of experience with effects of inorganic as well as organic Mercury and other metals on biological systems. Dr. Kobal worked as an occupational medicine specialist at the Idrija Mercury Mine. He was the last and most successful one in long line of physicians that worked with Idria Hg miners, with the first one, Joannes Antonius Scopoli, appointed in 1754, whose descriptions of mercurialism are still relevant today. The bio-monitoring methods Dr. Kobal employed saved many mercury miners lives and their quality of life worldwide. After retirement he continued his research, focusing on autism and vaccination connection as well as Hg poisoning through Mercury Amalgam fillings. He has published numerous scientific articles, cooperated with institutes and universities at home and abroad, and is still actively researching, with his latest contribution published in January Keynote Speaker, Day 2 Dr.Dr.(PhD) Johann Lechner»Hyperactivated signaling pathways of chemokine RANTES/CCL5 in osteopathies of jawbone in cancer and autoimmune diseases Neglected dental cause of systemic diseases?«biography Dr. Dr.(PhD) Johann Lechner, Dentist and Naturopath. Head of the Clinic for Integrative Dentistry in Munich, Germany since Member of executive board of DAH (German Association for Research on Disturbance Fields and Regulation) and since 1982 chairman of GZM (International Society for Holistic Dentistry). He has extensive lecture and seminar activities in USA, Europe and China. Dr. Lechner published numerous articles in addition to nine books in German about Holistic Dentistry and Integrative Medicine. Dr. Lechner s researches focus on silent inflammation in jawbone and the implication to systemic diseases. Some of the studies done by Dr. Lechner are the first ones worldwide and contribute to development of a new field of Maxillo-Mandibular Osteoimmunology.
