The event is run by professional dealers. Re-donations (buy-ins) available. The top 100 winners will receive a fabulous prize.

HEROES for CHILDREN CHILDHOOD CANCER More than 1,200 children will be diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer in the state of Texas this year.

Each day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer. On average, treatment for a childhood cancer diagnosis is two years.

OUR MISSION AND VISION Heroes for Children advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children (0-22 years of age) battling cancer.

2 HEROES for CHILDREN CHILDHOOD CANCER More than 1,200 children will be diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer in the state of Texas this year. In addition to medical expenses associated with cancer treatment, many times a parent has to leave work to care for their child creating additional financial burdens on the family. Each day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer. On average, treatment for a childhood cancer diagnosis is two years. The average cost for cancer treatment is more than $600,000, excluding cost of living and expenses associated with the disease. OUR MISSION AND VISION Heroes for Children advocates for and provides financial and social assistance to families with children (0-22 years of age) battling cancer. No family with a child battling cancer will fight alone. OUR SERVICES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE This is the largest program for HFC. An average of $45,000 is spent each month on direct financial assistance. The average grant is $750. SOCIAL ASSISTANCE Laptops for Love - donates new laptops to teenagers and young adults battling cancer. This unique program provides teens with a link to the outside world while undergoing cancer treatment and allows them to keep up with their schoolwork while away from the classroom. Holiday Heroes - adopts families for the holiday season. Families from across the state receive their gifts at a holiday party. Heroes Milestones - focuses on milestone events in a child s life that due to a cancer diagnosis might go uncelebrated. Heroes Milestones include proms, graduations, birthdays or Celebration of Life parties.
