2 ACC Subsidy Updates May 2014 This update will install the following ACC subsidy amendments for Healthcare Services, General Practitioner-Special Interest & PRIME Contract effective from 1 May 2014 in Medtech32: Contract Class Service Item Code Item description Flat Rate (GST inclusive) Secondary Amount (GST inclusive) Hourly Rate (GST Inclusive) Unit Cost (GST Inclusive) General Practitioner - Special Interest GPSI GPSI Assessment $ N/A PRIME contract DIS1 PRIME travel costs $ 0.84 PRIME contract ATT PRIME attendance fee $ RP01 Level A Consultation - Short duration up to 5 minutes $ N/A RP02 Level B Consultation - Normal duration 5-20 minutes $ N/A RP03 Level C Consultation - Extended duration minutes $ N/A RP04 Level D Consultation - Complex consultation > 40mins $ N/A RP05 Catastrophic Level Consultation $ N/A RP06 Rural GP Consult - Child Under 6 years surcharge $ 5.08 N/A RP10 RP11 RP12 Skin and subcutaneous tissue or mucous membrane, repair of wound (not more than 7cm long) requiring skin closure by suture, clips, skin adhesive strips or glue Significant burns or abrasions (not including fractures) at multiple sites (>4cm); necessary wound cleaning, preparation and dressing Closure of open wound (or wounds) of skin and subcutaneous tissue or mucous membrane >7cm long; any necessary care and treatment including cleaning and debriding, exploration, administration of anaesthetic and dressing $ $ $ $ Copyright Medtech Limited Page 2 of 5

(This item will generally involve radiological investigation) RP14 Elbow, treatment of dislocation of, requiring active reduction with IV or IM sedation and analgesia. Includes splinting where necessary. (This item will generally involve radiological investigation) RP15 Carpal fractures, including scaphoid, treatment of fracture of, not requiring reduction. RP16 Radius and/or ulna, distal end of, treatment of fracture of, by cast RP17 Radius and/or ulna, shaft of, treatment of fracture of, by cast RP18 Humerus, proximal or shaft of, treatment of fracture of, requiring cast RP19 Humerus, distal (supracondylar or condylar) or proximal radius and ulnar, treatment of fracture of. RP20 Tibia shaft and/or fibula, treatment of fracture by cast RP21 Distal tibia and/or fibula, treatment of fracture of, not requiring reduction, includes RP22 RP23 RP24 RP25 RP26 RP27 RP28 Calcaneum or talus, treatment of fracture requiring cast Tarsus, (including tarsal or metatarsals and excluding calcaneum or talus), treatment of fracture of, requiring cast Closed reduction of fracture or dislocation of proximal, middle or distal phalanx of hand, requiring injection of anaesthetic. Metacarpal(s), treatment of fracture by closed reduction-requiring injection of anaesthetic. Radius or ulna, distal end of, treatment of fracture by closed reduction. Requiring ischaemic limb block anaesthesia or other form of regional anaesthesia. (Generally proven radiologically). Ankle, Achilles' tendon rupture managed by non- operative treatment. 5 Installation Prerequisites Checklist Check the current Medtech32 installed version [HelpAbout Medtech32] before attempting this upgrade. The practice must be on the following Medtech32 version: Version 10 or later. It is not required for users to be logged out of Medtech32 for this update to be run, because the main application is not affected. 3. This document has been reviewed and is understood. 4. Ensure you are logged onto Windows with Full Administrative rights when performing ANY installation, update, or maintenance tasks. 5. You are logged onto the Medtech32 Server. Installation Instructions 1. Visit our website at 2. Select New Zealand in the region drop down (top right hand side of the window). 3. Select menu, Medtech Online Medtech32 Downloads. The New Zealand Medtech32 Updates page will be displayed. 4. Click on the link ACC Subsidy Updates (May 2014) 5. If any security warnings appear in your environment, select Run. 6. The installation process will begin. 7. Once the update is completed, the following message will be displayed. 8. Click on OK to close the installation screen.
