Colorectal surgery topics covered include minimally invasive surgery, IBD, benign colorectal, colorectal cancer and anorectal diseases. TARGET AUDIENCE limited to nurses and technicians in the division of colorectal surgery caring for adults who seek up-to-date evidence to enhance their understanding of topics in colorectal medicine and related treatment and management options for their patients. COURSE OBJECTIVES By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Discuss current screening, diagnosis and management techniques in malignant and premalignant colorectal conditions. Integrate current management guidelines and operative indications into practice for benign colorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, IBD and diverticulitis. Distinguish new minimally invasive techniques and outline their role in management of colorectal conditions. Discuss quality metrics for various colorectal conditions including IBD, rectal cancer and identify future trends in assessment standards.
