2 Meeting Minutes MedLife Members, First of all, we would like to thank everybody who came to the meeting this past Thursday. We also appreciate all of you who participated in our Icebreaker. We saw a few new members attend this meeting as well, WELCOME! Per usual, here are the Meeting Minutes. Most of what was discussed is on the Powerpoint that follows. * Reintroduction of MedLife Officers * MedLife History * SDSU Involvement - Our first Build A Miracle mission will be this Sunday, February 5th. If you would like to sign up, please do so on our new website ( it will be under the tab entitled: Upcoming Events. We will be leaving SDSU at 6:45 AM or you can meet us at the border at 7:45 AM. The general schedule is on the Powerpoint. This is also a new event for our members from last semester. During Build A Miracle, we help build a house for a family living in Mexico. It's a once in a lifetime, rewarding experience that we wish our members can attend at least once. The deadline to register will be on Saturday, February 4th at 11:59 PM. - Our first Mobile Clinic will be on Saturday, February 25th. We will send out more information once it gets closer to the date. Meanwhile you can also register for this event on the website. - We will be having our Week Long Mobile Clinic during Spring Break. For this event, our main focus will be the Mural Clean Up Project and Teaching English to the residents in Mexico. - If you are interested in this summer's MedLife Trip, the deadline to sign up will be on April 24th and May 1st depending on the location chosen. Just a reminder that we need at between people to register. The list of locations are also on the Powerpoint, if interested please us with your desired location! Registration will be made on medlifeweb.org * MedLife T-shirts - We apologize for the delay of the shirts. We had to straighten out some things with our club account. Now that everything is in order, we would be getting them to you as soon as possible. We came up with the idea of having a majority vote on which quote to use on the back of the shirts. Our old shirts have the quote by Mahatma Gandhi, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." However, we are open to suggestions for other quotes. The deadline to send it your desired quotes will be on our next meeting 16th of February. At that time, we will then decide on the best quote, whether it's the old one or a new one. I think that's it for now! It may seem like a lot happened, but all the information can be seen on the Powerpoint or on our website! Thank you for reading this in its entirety! 16 Build A Miracle When: Sun. 2/5 Where: Tijuana, Mexico What: either building/cementing houses or teaching kids English at the community center ***Leave SDSU at 6:45am

17 Build A Miracle General Schedule: 7:45 - meet at McDonald s by the border 9:00-12:30 work on projects 12:30-2:30 lunch and playing at the community center. During this time, you can play with the kids at the community center using the games and crafts you brought. Also, be sure to get a tour of the community center and all that we have going on there if this is your first trip. 2:30 - we will hear stories from people in the community 3:00 - Head back to the border
