12 Tim Hughes aka superhero superpower: taking on crazy challenges. I signed up for the London Marathon 2019 because I wanted to do something incredible for my 40th birthday and to show the world you can have CF and still do crazy challenges. hether My philosophy w is that you have CF or no t ower. everyone has a superp My first half marathon wasn t a typical experience. Unfortunately, I came down with an exacerbation and was only discharged from hospital six days before the run - I finished my home IVs the day before the race! I know that running is hugely beneficial. I love the energy it s given me, a whole new outlook on life. Looking ahead to the London Marathon I am absolutely petrified - but extremely excited at the same time! 12 cysticfibrosis.org.uk
