1 I wish to thank the girls Amy Barker, Holly Crockford, Kerry McDonnell, Chloe McDonnell, Olivia Dickson-Black, Claudia Crammond, Madeline Warman, and Gerogie Warman for coming to march in the Anzac Parade. These girls were beautifully presented and a credit to the Club. Several people spoke to me after the event to say how good they looked. One woman said the presentation of the girls who presented The flowers was about 200% She commented about them even wearing leather gloves. I was very proud of them all. They would have very convincingly won the smartest on parade if there had been an award. Our uniform in the green and gold stood out very much the Spirit of Australia. It is very pleasing see young people come so proudly to honour those men and women who have done so much to make our Nation what it is today. Thankyou all sincerely Sue Jones Thank you Eric!!! Some of you will have noticed the absence of Eric Woods and his trusty white ute around the grounds. After 15 months of making our grounds look fantastic Eric has decided to spend some time manicuring his own lawn. From all the members and riders of Samford GVPC we would like to thank Eric for his tireless effort making our grounds look wonderful.

She would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the well wishes, visits and lovely flowers sent so her whilst she was unwell. We need to support Karen in her recovery and we still require people to put their names on the canteen roster to help share the load. If you are able to help in any way by shopping serving or cooking. Could you please call Karen on Nominations close 23rd May and we would love a huge turnout like last year. RIP Tommy Some of you may remember the Barker families 1st pony Tommy, unfortunately he passed away last month at 35 years old.. Tommy was Amy s first pony club pony and she rode him for 5 years from age 5. He will be sadly missed. Please read the following for a great offer from Mitavite available to all Qld Pony Clubs. 3 Rug Repairs!!! Reg will be at the pony club later this month to do rug repairs. Others in the club have recommended his work. He will do it onsite at the clubhouse if rugs are delivered and labelled beforehand. Please see the SGVPC website for more details which will be posted in the next 3-7 days. Doggie Gymkhana Mark out the 23rd July and tell your friends. The Junior Committee will run the morning and the public are invited. Time to bring our four legged best friends out big and small. 5 Samford ODE 28th May Club events are our biggest fundraisers whether or not you are competing, especially in the canteen. 28th May is our next event and 4 people are required for canteen roster which will count towards your families annual requirement. Please Selina@keepiteasy.com.au if you are available to assist in the canteen or any other roles for this day. OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE the cross country course. Members not currently nominated for the event may join in as HC (no trophies or places) for only $10 plus providing a jump steward for the day! The $10 goes towards the cost of the onsite paramedic.
