Thursday, November 26 th - Sheboygan YMCA the sale of unique metal art cancer ribbon flowers - pink for breast cancer, lavender for all cancers! (see photo) NOTE: If you're interested in purchasing one these unique flowers (a great holiday gift idea for cancer survivors)... stop in at Designs by Dieter (108 Pine, Sheboygan Falls) where they are still available! Survivors & Co-survivors Making Sheboygan County the Healthiest Place to Survive Cancer! at the Thanksgiving Morning Run for the Kids at the Sheboygan YMCA! To learn more about the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund s Survive, Thrive & Be Fit activities and/or the Sheboygan YMCA s LIVESTRONG at the Y program, join us on December 31 st (see attached flyer)! Sheboygan Falls Main Street Chamber s Ladies Nite Out Donates to SCCCF! Hats On to Pigeon River Elementary School!!! The following letter, accompanying photos and a donation were received from Pigeon River Elementary School: "On October 27th and 28th the students at Pigeon River Elementary School wore a hat to make a difference in someone s life. October was Cancer Awareness Month and Pigeon River s Student Council wanted to kick off the school year by raising awareness and support families who are battling cancer. Thank you to the Sheboygan Falls Main Street Chamber's "Ladies Nite Out" for donating $1,000 to SCCCF (1st photo, L-R: Tim Renzelmann, Darryl Ottman, Kim Strysick, Shirl Breunig, Melissa Geisthardt, Dieter Stipe and Shelly Perronne)! PLUS an additonal $400 was donated by Dieter Stipe of Designs by Dieter through "Each student paid $1.00 or made a donation to wear a hat at school each day. By allowing hats to be worn on two different days, we were hoping to beat the previous
2 day s donations in support of the many families who are fighting cancer. "As a school, we were able to collect $ that we would like to donate to your foundation. We wanted the money to stay local so we can help the families in our community. We are very proud of the generosity our students have shown and we hope this money blesses many of the strong and brave families that are battling this disease." THANK YOU PIGEON RIVER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! UPCOMING EVENTS/ACTIVITIES: TLC Survivorship Session: Annual Year End Gathering! Tuesday, December 15 th at 6P MOA/SCBS, 1621 N. Taylor Dr., 2 nd Fl. Conf. Rm. All area cancer patients/survivors and co-survivors are invited to join us on Tuesday, December 15th for our "Year End Gathering" of the Local Cancer Community (see flyer)! We will kick things off at 5PM with a "Meet, Greet & Eat" with food provided by the culinary experts and our friends at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The program will begin at 6PM with introductions and will proceed with the healing that comes from the sharing of stories! Take this opportunity to gather with and meet others in the local cancer community, to help and to be helped by one another, to teach and to learn and to find your own kind of healing!
