1 Dear Friend, Setting the Stage for student success has been the work of The Foundation Schools for 40 years! On March 24, 2016, you can play a part in helping our students shine by becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item to our 2016 Annual Benefit. This exciting event is held at the University of Maryland Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center and raises funds for the much needed intensive programming our students require. Together, we can help the students of The Foundation Schools experience academic and personal success despite their emotional and behavioral disabilities. Each year, The Foundation Schools supplies a mix of highly intensive academic and therapeutic support in a healthy and compassionate environment for more than 350 emotionally disabled students in grades Operating two school campuses in the greater Washington metropolitan-area, we provide support programs and services tailored to each child s individual needs to help them maximize his/her potential. Our programs and supports include academics based on The Common Core state standards, reading intervention, transition and career preparation, drug prevention and education, trauma sensitive interventions, and school meals. For our students and families in crisis, we provide home-based assistance through our Foundation Links program. As a contributor, you leave an everlasting impression on the lives of our students and their futures, setting the stage for them to become outstanding community members.
