1 2016 AWARDS DINNER Dear Friends, Pope Francis has made 2016 a Jubilee Year of Mercy to shepherd the Church to a more effective sign of the Father s actions in our lives. He has called us to be faithful and fruitful witnesses of God by recognizing mercy in all its forms and emulating this virtue to the most vulnerable among us. It is with this in mind that we celebrate our 13th annual Justice For ALL Dinner on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Adelphia Grand Ballroom in Deptford, New Jersey. That evening we will honor both an organization and an individual who are founts of mercy to the poor, the homeless, and the disenfranchised here in our diocese. In light of Pope Francis call to Mercy, I believe you ll find this year s awardees to be both inspiring and deserving of the 2016 Justice in ACTION Awards: The Jewish Federations of South Jersey are the recipients of the 2016 Organizational ACTION Award: Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties Jewish Federation of Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (Camden County) Ricardo V. Taylor of Pennsauken is the recipient of the 2016 Individual ACTION Award. Since its inception in 2004, thanks to the generous support of sponsors like you, the dinner has raised more than $640,000, every penny of which is put towards direct assistance for those we serve - those who live on the margins and struggle with the stress of poverty every day. In other words, your support of this event helps to sow hope for more than 1,800 individuals every year! This is a great way to take part in Pope Francis call to be merciful witnesses of Christ. Listed below are some suggested ways you can make a difference and sow hope.
