Our programs provide seniors with a time to socialize and participate in a variety of recreational and learning opportunities. An Anoka native, Doug graduated from the U of MN in history and geography and became the director of operations for Camp Snoopy at MOA. He now makes a living through historical and landscape photography, traveling many miles each year to document his favorite subjects! SCS offers affordable services such as Handypersons, homemakers, yard workers and other home services. SCS is a nonprofit that works with Hennepin County to help people stay in their homes. Call for more information Or go to Dementia Support Anyone interested in sharing their concerns while caring for a loved one with dementia, meet us at the SouthShore Center for a support group session. We will gather on the first and third Friday of the month, March 2nd and 16th and April 6th and 20th from 9:00 10:00am. Mon. and Wed. 9:00 am to 12 noon We have a great time sharing our personal quilt projects, helping each other and making various service projects. For more info call Linda at The Quilting needs help making mittens, hats and scarves for Caring and Sharing Hands. They also need donations of polar fleece, flannel, cotton and all sewing supplies.
