Dr. Roy Irons, 1976 DDS from Iowa and current president of the National Dental Association, is pictured in the second row, first from the left. Says Dr. Bill Johnson: The Delta Sig Delta team was the All University Champions in 1973. We then played Iowa State in Kinnick Stadium and won on the last play of the game. We represented the university and state at the national flag football tournament in Saint Louis. We lost the first game to the some former professionals and Minnesota Viking taxi squad members. Their quarterback was, I believe, Gary Cuozzo, a former AFL and NFL quarterback who was an orthodontist.
