We need all our members! Call BOTH AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Bob Loveridge thanked all who helped out in any way at the Division Golf Outing Saturday. Despite the rain in the morning, all 48 groups were able to play by 1 PM. Kevin Sarsfield won the putting contest! No one achieved a hole in one to win the car, but Jean Hamlin reported that one person cane within 9 inches of the hole! Dave Booker reported that he accompanied Frank Lewandusky to Kamp Kiwanis on Friday to deliver $5000 worth of new fishing tackle plus other items on their wish list. There will be no parade at Summerfest. The Food Trailer will use the large outside grill, and orders & payment will be taken at the trailer s front window. The Rensselaer County Heroin Bus will be present on Friday until 8 PM. The Triathlon will begin Sunday morning at 10:30 AM starting at Crystal Cove and ending at Butler Park. N & L Bodyworks has agreed to paint the Food Trailer (AFTER Summerfest!). INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER President Stu and Education Chair Bob Pasquarelli explained to Deborah Donnelly that she was joining an international organization located in 85 countries, but that Sand Lake was the BEST! She was presented with her membership pin, her name badge, and most importantly, her DOO- HICKEY! Deb explained that she runs a Senior Services company assisting dementia patients to remain at home. She is also the Coordinator of the Senior Van for the Town of Sand Lake. Welcome to Sand Lake Kiwanis, Deb! HAPPY DOLLARS Kevin Sarsfield: Thanks to Bob Loveridge for all his hard work putting on another great golf outing! Despite the weather, all had a good time. Great job, Bob!

3 Bob Loveridge: I want to announce that Kevin won the putting contest! Pat Lane: I had a great time on the SL Seniors weekend in Washington, DC. Many seniors went, and spent full days and evenings walking and touring the monuments. My longest friend Carol went with me, and at the Viet Nam Wall she was able, with the assistance of a Ranger escort, to find her brother s name. He was lost in Nam, and was awarded the Silver Star! Peter Stevens: Add my thanks to Bob Loveridge too. A word of advice, Bob: When you get the helicopter up to altitude, don t turn off the fan! Eve Ward: I was not able to come to the Golf Outing because I was working at our church s annual Lobster Dinner. We served 200 dinners! Peg Weiss: Once again, I am indebted to my computer expert, Dave Booker, who helped me upgrade to Windows 10, spending more time at my house even after the trip to Utica. Thanks again, Dave. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it! Jim Colabelli: I was pleased to see Pat s picture in the Empire State Kiwanian with the Hoosick Falls Club at their Baby Shower! Dave Booker: Thanks to Frank Lewandusky for the donation of fishing tackle. His friend received the tax deduction, and Sand Lake Kiwanis was credited with the donation! We also received a letter of commendation and a ribbon to wear in Toronto that says We Did It! which signifies that our club has fulfilled our pledge to the EliMiNaTe Project! Nancy Davis: Thanks to Pat for putting in my Happy Dollar last week. And thanks for allowing me to be your greeter and invocator this week. Also thanks to Janet for giving me space at Summerfest to solicit donations to the Stahlman Scholarship Fund! Stu Nippes: I am happy that our guests are here for their second visit, and that they, along with our newest member, Deb, have all signed up to work at Summerfest! Glad to have you! DOOR PRIZE, provided bystu Nippes, was won by Pat Lane! 50/50 for $21 was won by Skip Patton! PROGRESSIVE 50/50, worth $423 this week, outdid Skip Patton, who came up with the 9 of Hearts from the 30 remaining cards! COMING WEEKS..
