2 Speakers Prof Mithran Goonewardene B.D.Sc. Cert. Orth. (Harv and Forsyth) M. Med.Sc (Harv), FADI, FICD. Mithran completed his dental degree at The University of Western Australia in 1981 and his orthodontic training at the Forsyth Dental Centre/Harvard Dental2017 Medicine August School 18, 19thofAugust in He joined the Orthodontic Department Dunedin, New Zealand of The University of Western Australia in 1987 and is currently Head of Orthodontics. He is also visiting Consultant Orthodontist at the Dental Institute, Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is an active member of the North Atlantic Component of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists and a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Australasian Edgewise Orthodontic Study Group and the Sri Lankan Orthodontic Society. He serves on the editorial boards of the Australian Orthodontic Journal, the Australian Dental Journal and the Saudi Orthodontic Journal and is a reviewer for a number of other peer reviewed journals.

Prashant completed his master s degree in Periodontics (1986) and Orthodontics (1989) from Nair Hospital Dental College, University of Bombay. He has a Private Specialist Orthodontic Practice in Auckland, New Zealand. August 18, 19th August 2017 He completed his post graduate Diploma in ClinDunedin,from NewUniversity Zealand of Otago ical Periodontology with distinction in Currently, he is the NZAO representative to the Asia Pacific Orthodontic Society and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Foundation for Orthodontic Research and Education. He is a member of various National and International Orthodontic & Periodontic Associations. Prashant has a keen interest in all types of sport and has qualified as a level II cricket coach through the Auckland Cricket Association, New Zealand. He is currently studying the Vedic Scriptures, Meditation and Sanskrit language.
