3 Gerry Samson, DDS, ABO, FACD, TE Diplomat of The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) Fellow of The American College of Dentists (FACD) Described as an educational entertainer, Gerry Samson completed pediatric dental residency at Emory University, 1979 under the direction of Dr. Ed Hibbard and orthodontics at Northwestern University, 1981 under the direction of Dr. Hal Perry. Gerry is a Diplomat of The American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of The American College of Dentists. In addition to orthodontic private practice, He is the clinic director for Dental Partners, Spring & Sprout Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Samson holds formal faculty appointments at 6 postgraduate programs, lectures extensively and reviews orthodontic mechanics articles submitted for publication to The Angle Orthodontist. Yepes, DDS, MD, MPH, MS, DrPH Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry Attending Riley Hospital for Children Indiana University School of Dentistry Indianapolis, Indiana Juan F. Yepes DDS, MD, MPH, MS, DrPH is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry and an attending at Riley Children Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Juan F. is a dentist (DDS) and a physician (MD) from Javeriana University at Bogotá, Colombia. In 1999, Juan F. moved to the USA and attended the University of Iowa and the University of Pennsylvania where he completed a fellowship and residency in Radiology and Oral Medicine respectively in 2002 and In 2006, Juan F. completed a Master in Public Health (MPH), and in 2011 a Doctoral Degree in Public Health (DrPH) both with emphasis in Epidemiology at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. In 2008, Juan F. completed a residency program in Dental Public Health at University of Texas, Baylor College of Dentistry. Finally, Juan F. completed a residency program and a master in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky in Juan F. is board-certified by the American Boards of Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Dental Public Health. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, American Association of 3

4 Public Health Dentistry, Indiana Dental Association, and American Dental Association. Juan F. is a fellow in dental surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journals of Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology. He has many years of experience in medicine, medically compromised children and dental protocols, diagnosis and radiology in children and shares these experiences in outstanding lectures. Saturday, Nov 17, 2018: Pediatric Oral Radiology Pediatric Oral Radiology: From Radiation Safety to Lesions and CBCT This lecture will provide to the attendee the most common radiographic lesions that are presented in infants, children and adolescents. The seminar will use case-presentation as the learning and discussion format and will cover the entire spectrum of oral radiology in pediatric dentistry. Topics such as oral pathology, imaging, and systemic conditions with implications in the practice of pediatric dentistry will be included. Stay on I-75 NORTH through downtown and toward Marietta Follow I-75 through the city to Exit 260 (Windy Hill Road). When exiting, stay in far right lane, which winds around onto Interstate North Parkway. The Marriott Northwest will be on your left. You will be parallel to the hwy. Turn Left onto to Windy Hill Road (Pappasito s Cantina is on the corner) Stay in your Right Lane to merge on to I-75 N. Stay on I-75 North to the Exit #265 North Marietta Pkwy. Get off at that exit and turn left onto 120 West (N. Marietta Pkwy) and stay on 120 West for 2.1 miles. Go thru the stop light at Church Street and underneath the rail tracks. Turn left onto Polk Street. Just before the rail tracks turn right into the parking lot. Park on the left in the Marietta Station Parking Permit Areas. As you face the rail tracks on the right you ll see an elevator tower. Take the elevator up, walk over the bridge, take the elevator down to the main floor, turn right and enter the Carmichael Building. Walk in on the main level (not the lower level) and we're the first door on the left. Returning to The Marriott Turn right out of the parking lot and left at the second light - Cherokee Street. Turn right at the next light - N. Marietta Pkwy - Hwy 120 East. Go 1.7 miles and take I-75 South. Follow I-75 to Exit 260 (Windy Hill Road). Turn left off the hwy. Make your first immediate right after crossing over I-75. You will be on Interstate North Parkway. The Marriott Northwest will be on your left. Not Renting A Car? Use UBER Taxi service in Atlanta is not a good option.
