2 Raymond F. Olmo Memorial Periodontics Symposium Celebrating the Life and Clinical Excellence of Dr. Raymond F. Olmo On this day of celebration for the life and work of Dr. Raymond F. Olmo we bring together a diverse group of speakers from each dental specialty to discuss clinical excellence in comprehensive interdisciplinary care. Dr. Olmo poured his heart and soul in to the betterment of Creighton students and dentists. He was not only a professor, but a wonderful mentor who influenced so many to reach their full potential. Daily, Dr. Raymond F. Olmo infused knowledge and energy into our lives. During the symposium, we will cover a range of disciplines, emphasizing Dr. Olmo s legacy in clinical excellence. Our discussion will consist of academic programs focusing on Clinical Periodontology; encapsulating two fields where Dr. Olmo was prominent: Periodontal Diagnosis and Treatment Planning with other disciplines such as Prosthodontics, Orthodontics and Implantology. To touch the lives of others is to live on after our passing. If this is found be true, Dr. Raymond F. Olmo will be remembered until the end of time.

Purpose and Objectives This conference is designed for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and other interested health care providers that serve the community.

3 Purpose and Objectives This conference is designed for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and other interested health care providers that serve the community. The focus is to enrich health care collaboration with a comprehensive dental team approach. Symposium participants will: Review the procedures dental hygienists use in patient care Gain insight into the treatment plan sequence of full mouth rehabilitation Learn about optimal implant location based on prosthetic design Become familiar with current trends for maxillary and mandibular reconstruction Appreciate the need for adequate hard and soft tissue augmentation prior, during, and after implant placement Become familiar with lip repositioning surgery Appreciate the benefits of health care collaboration and teamwork Accreditation Statement Creighton University is an approved CE provider by the states of Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and South Dakota, and this course meets the requirements for credit in Nebraska.
