2 Elementary- Grades K-4 Physical Education, K 4 COURSE DESCRIPTION The purpose of physical education in the primary grades is to supply the basis of motor skills for students to be able to learn physical activities, skills and beginning game knowledge / experiences. Along with this the students will be exposed to many health and wellness concepts. The health and wellness includes (but not limited to): body systems, eating properly, lifetime exercise, safety in an athletic environment and opportunities to participate in sports and athletics.
3 Elementary- Grades K-4 Physical Education, K 4 Activity Plan: Locomotor skill testing September Soccer / Football - September / October Distance Run - September / October Bones and Muscles October / November Bowling - October / November Group games / Holiday games as appropriate through year Pacer endurance test 2 times late Fall and Winter Gymnastics / Volleyball / Basketball differing times to share equipment between buildings Lacrosse skills April Track and Field / Tennis May / June Throwing/Catching/Striking and kickball/softball lead ups - June
4 Middle School- Grades 5-8 Physical Education, 5-8 COURSE DESCRIPTION Our Physical Education program supports, encourages, facilitates, and promotes physically active and healthy lifestyles through a variety of sports and activities, with a strong emphasis on fitness. Our primary goal is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to allow them to lead active lives.

6 High School- Grades 9-12 Sports Education, Grades 9-10 COURSE DESCRIPTION The purpose of the 9/10 Sports Education Program is to provide students a skills foundation in many physical activities. Emphasis is placed on skills progression through sport specific strategic play. By actively participating in a Sports Education Program, the student will build a solid foundation for the 11/12 Recreational/Lifetime Activity Program.
7 High School- Grades 9-12 Sports Education, Grades 9-10 Activity Plan: September: Soccer and Flag Football October: Lacrosse and Disc Golf November: Basketball and Boccer December: Volleyball and Nitroball January: Recreation Unit- includes Ping Pong, 4 Square, Shuffleboard, Xbox/Kinect, Pickleball, Foosball February: Floor Hockey, Badminton March: Tchoukball, Team Handball April: Wiffle ball, Alfonzo Ball, Slap Ball May: Tennis, Paddleball, Softball June: Ultimate Frisbee, Beach Volleyball, Bocce
8 High School- Grades 9-12 Recreational/Lifetime Activities, Grades COURSE DESCRIPTION The purpose of the 11/12 Recreational/Lifetime Activity Program is to serve the individual interest differences of students. It allows students to become involved in decisionmaking regarding their program. Emphasis is placed on good sportsmanship, respect for others, and self-discipline while oriented towards a variety of lifetime activities/sports.
