2 Mission & Mandate To provide at risk children and their families with positive mentoring programs affecting social, behavioural and/or educational change, for the purposes of crime prevention
3 About Us Celebrating 10 years this year. Rebound Child & Youth Services Inc. is a not for profit, incorporated, charitable organization. Rebound offers supportive programs and services throughout Northumberland County for children, youth and their families.
4 Volunteers Empower, Energize and Inspire volunteers. Essential component for majority of programs and services offered. Training. Support. Appreciation. Ongoing recruitment.
5 Financial Supporters Include: Ministry of Children and Youth Services Ministry of the Attorney General KPR District School Board PVNC Catholic District School Board Foundation grants and philanthropic entities Service Clubs Corporate sponsors, individual donations Fundraising events
6 Children and Youth are our Priority! Rebound works with many community partners, stakeholders and a dedicated group of volunteers. We ensure the ongoing provision of supportive and proactive tools to empower, children, youth and families to work towards positive change. Wide variety of programs/services.
7 Tutoring program. 4 to 18 years of age. Volunteer tutors are trained and matched with learners on a continual basis. Tutoring is arranged in a suitable location within Northumberland County Free of charge to families.
8 Positive mentoring, social skill-based program for youth ages week program offered in schools during the day, or 12 week evening program in any community in Northumberland County. Some parent participation. Volunteer involvement.
9 Providing support to students, families, and schools during school suspensions. Ages Provides a constructive alternative to sending children and youth home to serve their suspensions. Aids in credit-recovery/maintenance, reintegration and provides support services.
10 Youth Outreach Under 18 Responsive Service. Providing youth throughout Northumberland County with timely support services. Provision of short-term support and referrals until other services may be accessed.
11 An educational and informational workshop facilitated by Warkworth Penitentiary. Referrals from School Administration, Parents, Youth.
12 Drug Education and Awareness Program 2 part educational workshop. Effects of drug use on health. Drug culture. Current laws regarding drugs & alcohol. Explore treatment & support options. Guest speakers.
13 Enrichment Summer Programs/March Break Ages CSI, Arts and Crafts, Golf Workshop. Community Connections Provision of support and enables connections for families with community services.
14 Youth Justice Committee Diversion from the traditional court system. Young persons (ages years). Minor, non-violent offences. Meeting facilitated by 3 trained community volunteers. Involves young persons, their families, support people, persons harmed, police officers and community members. Ministry of the Attorney General funded.
15 Youth Referral Program A pre-charge Police diversion referral program for youth aged years. Provides front line Police Officers with an immediate source of referral for youth. Provides timely access to effective community intervention options for youth.
16 The Future.. Ensuring children and youth are a priority. Ensuring children and youth are successful & realizing their potential. Ongoing support to children, youth and their families. Working towards meeting the needs of the community including continuing to work with & provide support to our community partners. Ongoing rural outreach. Ensuring children and youth are valued, involved and responsible. (MCYS)
