1 Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.tm TLOD December 2014 Ladies, What a year! The 50 th Anniversary was unbelievable. It was fantastic. I am extremely fortunate to be the National President of TLOD at this historic moment, 50 years old, and a half century of volunteer service. Thank you all for the wonderful activities celebrating our 50 th Anniversary. The celebrations at your Area Conferences were fitting tributes to our beloved TLOD. Thanks to our National Chairlady, Lady Jackie Pope and the planning committee for making our birthday party the best ever. The National Theme for is TLOD, Impacting our Future through Positive Interventions in the Lives of our Youth, our Community and our Legacy with Effective Volunteerism. This theme connects our past to our future, our legacy. We are closing one administration and looking forward to our new era. You are invited to attend the National TLOD Conference (Syn-Lod) June 25-29, 2015 at the Hyatt Hotel on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington DC. It will be a wonderful ending and awesome beginning. Do not miss the 39 th Syn-Lod, for all of our conferences have been memorable, entertaining and productive. We will elect officers, recognize our Five Star Chapters, review our strategic plans and celebrate. We are into the 21st Century, all registrations must be done on line and nomination forms for election of officers must be completed on line. So if you know of a Lady who needs help, plan a registration party. The Dale City Prince Williams County Chapter, will host this IMPACT conference. Lady Sandra Clark is the Conference Chair and Lady Michelle Smalls is the chapter president. Area II Director, Lady Helena Dodson, and the DC Metro Area Chapters have been most supportive and will be assisting the host chapter. 6 Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. 39 th SYN-LOD CONFERENCE Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill 400 New Jersey Ave NW Washington, DC JUNE 25-29, 2015 TM REGISTRATION PROCEDURE & INSTRUCTIONS CONFERENCE DATES The conference will run from Thursday, June 25 th to Monday, June 29th (3 nights and 3 days). Events begin in the afternoon on Thursday, arrival on Thursday will be in time for afternoon meetings. Online registration will open on January 1, There will be a webinar for TTA advisors to review the registration process for Teens on January 26, Invite to follow to Teen Advisors. REGISTRATION What s included in my registration? Ladies registration is $400. It includes: Conference bag, Welcome Reception, Continental Breakfast, Ladies 5- Star Luncheon, Literary Cafe, Ecumenical Breakfast, and Gala. Note: Ladies will not have a ticket to Teen MOD/Awards Luncheon. A separate ticket must be purchased. Lords registration is $300. It includes: Conference bag, Welcome Reception, Continental Breakfast, Literary Cafe, Ecumenical Breakfast, Lord s Luncheon and Gala. Affiliate Registration is $300. Guest registration is for presenters and members of partner organizations. It includes: Conference bag, Welcome Reception, Ladies 5 Star Luncheon, Continental Breakfast, Literary Cafe, Ecumenical Breakfast, and Gala Teen Registration is $300. It includes: Conference bag, Welcome Reception, TTA/MOD Awards Luncheon, Continental Breakfast, Literary Cafe, Ecumenical Breakfast, and Gala. Top Teen Advisors/Ladies with Teens is $400. Chaperone registration is for parents and non-members who are serving as chaperones for Top Teens. Chaperones will be included in all Teen events/outings. Ladies cannot register as chaperones. All attendees must register online. There will be no on-site ticket sales for any events. All extra tickets must be pre-purchased. No group registration option for Ladies. All Ladies and Lords must register individually. Webinar will be conducted for Teen Advisors on Teen registration process Date: January 26, 2015 REGISTRATION DETAILS All conference registrations must be completed using the online registration portal. Event websites are as follows: No mailed registrations forms will be accepted. Ladies: Teens: TTA Advisors /Ladies working with Teens are to register on the TTA registration portal by May 1, 2015 A group registration option is available for Teens only on the online registration portal. Registration payment can be made with a check or credit card. Check payments must be received by May 1or your registration will be cancelled. Please adhere to all deadlines. Check payments should be mailed to the National Financial Secretary. Keep a copy of payment for your records. If conference registration payment is mailed via FedEx, UPS or Express Mail, please check the Waiver of Signature box to allow delivery without obtaining signatures. ADDITIONAL TICKETS Additional tickets are available for sale for the following events: Syn-Lod Gala - $150 per person March of Dimes TTA Award Luncheon* $60 per person Ladies 5-Star Luncheon $65 per person Lord s Luncheon* $60 per person *TTA Awards Luncheon and Lord s Luncheon are not included in the Ladies registration. Ladies wishing to attend these events must purchase a ticket in advance. ** Ladies 5-Star Luncheon is not included in TTA Advisors or Ladies working with Teens Registration. HOTEL Hotel reservations can be made by phone ( ) or online using the special TLOD website. 2

8 SOUVENIR AD JOURNAL The conference souvenir journal ads will be managed by the host chapter. Ads are $500 for inside back and front cover, Full page color $225, Half page $125; Full page B&W $200, Half page $100 Quarter page $50. Registrations can be transferred to someone else thru June 1, 2015 without penalty. After June 1, there is no refund or transfer of registration permitted. Refunds will be issued by November 1. SILVER ELITE RECOGNITION New Silver Elite members will be recognized at the Ladies 5-Star Luncheon. Only active Ladies inducted in are eligible for this recognition event. The fee for the 25 year pin is $50 and must be paid at the time of registration. The attire for the Silver Elite Recognition honoree is silver suit or dress with hat and gloves. Ladies must be registered for the conference to participate. PRESENTATION OF NEW LADIES At each Syn-Lod, newly inducted Ladies are presented to the membership. This presentation will take place at the Gala. Ladies that have been inducted into TLOD since June 2013 are eligible to participate. If you would like to be presented, please complete the presentation section of the registration form. The attire for the presentation event is black formals. Ladies must registered for the conference to participate MEMORIAL A memorial service will be held as a tribute to the memory of those TLOD family members (Ladies, Lords, and Teens) who have expired since the last Syn-Lod. Names of deceased TLOD family members must be submitted using the Memorial Form no later than May 15, 2015 REGISTRATION & PAYMENT CONTACT There will be two payment options 1.
