2 What We Do The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado is the ONLY statewide non-profit exclusively dedicated to brain injury. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people with brain injuries by connecting survivors with resources to help navigate the path of rehabilitation. 7 Heads Up! Breakfast & Golf Tournament Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado Heads Up! Breakfast with the Board Heads Up! Breakfast Heads Up! will become an annual event where influential leaders from the Denver Metro area gather to support BIAC and hear from key players in politics, business and health about issues that impact the Colorado BI community. Over 100 golfers will take to the 18-hole course in a shotgun start. All net proceeds from the event are applied as scholarships to help individuals with a brain injury attend one of BIAC s Adventure Camps. 8 Adventure Camps Adventure Camps The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado Challenge by Choice Adventure Camp program is in its 20th year. We partner with Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center to offer a variety of activities such as hiking, climbing, a ropes course, cycling and rafting. In the winter we offer a ski, snowboard camp that also includes dog sledding and ice fishing. Participants and volunteers come from all over the United States. 9 Regional Conferences Regional Conferences In 2013 the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado will be hosting four one-day regional conferences. The locations will be: Pueblo Grand Junction Frisco Durango We anticipate 100+ attendees at each event. The audience will be a combination of survivors, family members and professionals in the brain injury field. Conferences will be promoted via , website and local media outlets in each location.
