Review the roles of risk stra fica on to be er select pa ents for ICD implanta on and replacement. 3. Review whether all ICDs should be replaced: analyze data from registries. 4. Review the pathophysiology of common congenital heart defects. 5. Review associated extra-cardiac issues related to congenital heart disease. 6. Evaluate the need for coordinated, mul -disciplinary care for adults with congenital heart disease. 7. Explain the u lity of 3D TEE in iden fying appropriate candidates for mitral valve clipping. 8. Describe step by step approach in using 3D TEE for procedure guidance and its outcomes. 9. Prepare comparisons between 3D TEE and fluoroscopic imaging during mitral valve clipping. 10. Recognize the op mal treatment of the pa ent with severe AS and a low ejec on frac on. 11. Recognize pseudo-as from severe AS in pa ents with low flow AS and low EF. 12. Iden fy the pathophysiology of low flow AS with preserved EF. 13. Review the current indica ons for percutaneous mitral valve repair. 14. Describe the outcome of percutaneous mitral valve repair. 15. Overall Need Statement Cardiovascular science is constantly evolving with both new discoveries as well as evidence in favor of new therapies being published each year. This educa onal ac vity will provide the cardiovascular professional with an update on a selected number of high priority items, with discussion of both the science and the evidence behind current recommenda ons.
