6 Our 2018 Journey Through Time and Space is over. We shared a variety of good times, good food and fun activities with our old and new Good Sam Friends. Our Oregon Good Sammers know how to have a great time. They also know how to share with others. $ was donated to the Oregon Good Sam Staff Fund to help with upcoming expenses. We filled a large table with nonperishable food stuffs and $ in cash donated to the Jefferson Community Food Pantry. $ was given to Dogs for Better Lives. Thank you to everyone who shared what they have with those that are in need of assistance. Oh I don t want to forget the 344 pounds of pulltabs, Those funds are donated to help people with transportation needs while seeking treatment at the Albany Kidney Dialysis Center. Thank you to everyone who donated their time, effort and skills to making our Rally a success. Doesn t matter how big or small you feel your job was, having your help and knowing you are there giving support and a helping hand to the rest of us, makes all the difference between a successful Rally/Samboree and one that s not so much fun. Dale and I being Newbees and all - are very appreciative of Staff members and Assistant Directors who kept us on the straight and narrow. A special thanks and big hug to each of you. Have I reminded you lately what a GREAT bunch of people you are? Well - just in case I haven t - OUR OREGON GOOD SAMMERS ARE THE BEST! Just around the corner is the WyEast PowWow in Odell Oregon. Starts Tueday August 2nd and ends Sunday August 5, Go to oregongoodsam.com and get your registration form. While you are there get your registration form for the Fall Gathering. We need Chapter Presidents, Secretaries, Staff Members and Assistant Directors to attend. Please let me know if you will be there. Call or me with questions or items for the agenda. LOOKING FORWARD TO 2019 In 2019 Oregon Good Sam celebrates it s 50th Anniversary. Our Rally/Samboree theme is THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. Please watch for requests from Don Nedrow as he gathers materials for our time capsule. Most of this month s Drifter is pictures from the Spring Gathering and our 2018 Rally/ Samboree. A special thank you to Don Nedrow and Howard Morrill for taking and sharing Rally/Samboree pictures. That s about it for now.
