3 Partner with us to save lives from cancer. Why should you sponsor the Columbus to Cincinnati Relay Run? CANCER AFFECTS EVERYONE. Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, accounting for nearly one of every four deaths. In the US, more than 1.6 million people were expected to be diagnosed with cancer in 2017, and more than 600,920 people were expected to die from the disease.* In 2017, an estimated 68,180 Ohioans were expected to be diagnosed with cancer, and 25,430 residents are expected to die from the disease. *American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures ACHIEVE MORE WITH THE C2C RELAY RUN. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. In 2017, Columbus provided more than 1,331 rides and Cincinnati provided 6,475 rides to treatment. Funds raised through the C2C Relay Run support critical American Cancer Society programs and services. Participation in this event also provides team-building opportunities and strengthens awareness of health and wellness. ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH A RESPECTED BRAND. What is the C2C Relay Run? The fourth annual American Cancer Society C2C Relay Run is a two-day, relay-style running adventure from Columbus to Cincinnati.

Funds raised through the C2C Relay Run support those who are currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis, those who may face a diagnosis in the future, and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether

4 What is the C2C Relay Run? The fourth annual American Cancer Society C2C Relay Run is a two-day, relay-style running adventure from Columbus to Cincinnati. Participants will run farther, train harder, and help save lives from cancer. Funds raised through the C2C Relay Run support those who are currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis, those who may face a diagnosis in the future, and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education and risk reduction. What is the Road To Recovery program? Having cancer is hard. Finding a ride to treatment shouldn t be. The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides free rides for cancer patients to and from treatments and cancer-related appointments. Trained volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help patients get to the treatments they need. Each year in Ohio, more than 8,400 rides are provided to cancer patients in need through the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program and other transportation programs. Thanks to support from fundraising events like the C2C Relay Run, we are moving closer to a world free from cancer.
