About TherAplay Founded in 2001 as a not for profit charity, TherAplay provides physical and occupational therapy for over 160 special needs children each year.

We are unique in that we incorporate the innovative and effective use of horses during therapy sessions and are the largest pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic in the state of Indiana to do so.

From the beginning, TherAplay s vision included providing our services to as many families as possible regardless of their financial situations.

2 About TherAplay Founded in 2001 as a not for profit charity, TherAplay provides physical and occupational therapy for over 160 special needs children each year. These children are ages 18 months to 13 years and have a wide array of diagnoses such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spinal Bifada and Developmental Delay. We are unique in that we incorporate the innovative and effective use of horses during therapy sessions and are the largest pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic in the state of Indiana to do so. Sessions are one-on-one with a licensed therapist, utilizing the horse as well as other treatment tools within our child-friendly clinic. From the beginning, TherAplay s vision included providing our services to as many families as possible regardless of their financial situations. We are an approved Medicaid provider and offer a scholarship program for those families who may require financial assistance once their insurance benefits have maxed out in a given year. Messages from TherAplay Families Within a couple of weeks at TherAplay, Atlas was showing greater coordination; within a couple months he was completely confident on the stairs and playground ladder at home. After six months...our entire home and yard were finally safe zones for my son. You all are providing our kids with amazing opportunities to grow that can t be found anywhere else and I thank you so much for your dedication, and progressive vision. TherAplay simply put has changed my daughter s life..she could not sit up on her own from a lying position. Due to her rare chromosome disorder, her muscle tone is very low.i firmly believe TherAplay is the reason she is now running around, feeding herself and causing all kinds of mischief. We were told at birth that she would never walk, talk, feed herself, have any emotion, along with many other nevers. TherAplay helped me tap into her unwavering spirit and her will to fight. They brought it out of her like I had never seen. Born with Down Syndrome, Catalina was uncertain in her walking and running prior to coming to TherAplay. Her mom reports [TherAplay is] the best thing we could probably do for Catalina right now.she doesn t even know she s going for therapy. For her it s play time. She talks about it [TherAplay] all the time. [After Catalina learned how to jump for the first time], I ve never seen her so excited Mama that was the best jump I ever had. Now she jumps from point A to point B on all different surfaces. We re big fans of TherAplay.

They set a great example for all by sinking the opening putt! Over 400 guests attend the Hoe Down & Wild West Casino event. Guests enjoy live music, food and saloon beverages, and get the low down on TherAplay as they visit our clinic and mingle with our therapy ponies. For the more adventurous, a spin on the mechanical bull is in order!
