2 WHAT/WHEN/WHERE Autism Speaks 6 th Annual Chefs Gala will be held on Wednesday, April 26 th at the Four Seasons Hotel (999 N. Second Street) in downtown St. Louis. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a VIP reception. Cocktails and silent auction will follow at 6:30 p.m. Next, guests will experience a culinary tasting buffet prepared by more than 15 of St. Louis most renowned chefs at 7:30 p.m., followed by a program with live auction including exclusive custom-created packages to bid. WHO IS ATTENDING More than 350 guests are expected to attend, representing St. Louis most affluent consumers, philanthropists, corporate sponsors and business leaders. WHY SUPPORT Today, the Center for Disease Control reports 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, significantly affecting families, schools and the community at large. Research is crucial. Every 11 minutes another child is diagnosed with autism, costing families, on average, $60,000 per year. Not only must we find ways to improve the quality of life for children and adults with autism, but we must also find the causes and cure. Your support makes this possible.
