Aquatics Aqua Pilates: is class is designed to help you develop core strength and flexibility with the low impact benefits of water. is class utilizes shallow rebound work, stretches, and strength work to create a challenging workout program based in the Pilates ethod. Excellent for participants with joint and back issues, and those who want to improve posture and core strength. No class on 3/12 & 3/26. Aqua Total Fit delivers a high energy atmosphere with cardio, strength training, core work and stretching. Exercising in the water provides buoyancy to reduce stress on your joints, and a great total body workout. No class on 3/25 & 4/15. You will learn basic techniques in hip hop, footwork, ballet and modern. e will be learning choreography for a short 30-second dance. is class will include how to listen to the music in new ways, and use our bodies to be an interpretation of the music. No class on 3/25. Zumba: e Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easyto-follow moves to create a one-of-a kind fitness program that will blow you away. Zumba fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in this exciting 45 minutes of calorie burning, body energizing, and awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life. Halsted Street Pilates Reformer Rock Climbing Pilates Reformer classes help you develop core strength by working from the inside out, helping you build strength, flexibility, endurance and improving your posture without adding bulk or stress to your joints. Space is limited, be sure to register early. Beginner Reformer e beginner reformer class is for those new or with limited experience with the Pilates reformer.. e esday session will not have class on 3/17 & 3/24. e ursday session will not have class on 3/12 & 3/26. Learn the fundamentals of climbing, including tie-in and belaying techniques. Safety and fun are stressed! Certification may be granted upon instructor s discretion. Using the Synrgy 360 equipment, circuit training stations will be set up using TRX, kettlebells, medicine balls, boxing, battle ropes, body weight training and more. ese workouts are designed to keep you engaged as well as successful in reaching your fitness goals. Pure Raks is for those women who want to be fit, sexy and classy. You can start at any age, with no prior dance experience. Enhance your self-esteem while creating an hour-glass shape! Learn exciting movements for your hips, torso and arms. Build fabulous abs and tone your core. It's time to put the "you" into unique! Class attire: flexible workout clothing, bare feet, socks or ballet slippers, scarf to tie around your hips. No class 3/24. Beg/Int. Ju-Jutsu: is self-defense class uses real combat techniques for handling real life violent physical assault. CAI Ju-Jutsu is based upon iyama Ryu Ju-Jutsu and ParaCombatives Ju-Jutsu. Code Time Room Dates S N- TKD8 FR /27 Eric omen s Self Defense: During the 11-week women s self defense class, learn state of the art techniques for escaping and evading the attacks most frequently perpetrated against women. Art of Belly Dance Level 2: Intermediate technique, combinations and short choreography. is level builds upon all that you learned in level 1, expanding your dance vocabulary as you evolve your mind, body and spirit! Class content changes and inspires you with a variety of topics, including introduction to Arabic rhythms, more challenging finger cymbal patterns, floorwork, veil, Saidi and stick dance. Not only have I learned how to defend myself from numerous attacks, but I have also learned how to be more observant and aware to prevent myself from being in situations where I can be easily attacked. You ll feel and look better, and the benefits will make your everyday activities easier. Yoga also reduces stress and improves mental focus. No class 3/23 Yoga Fundamentals: Yoga truly is for everyone. Have you said: I can t do yoga. I can t even touch my toes? If you think that yoga isn t for you, you haven t tried Yoga Fundamentals. You will learn the fundamentals of yoga including proper alignment, variations and modifications so you will be able to do the poses with comfort and safely. You will also learn breathing techniques that will help you focus your attention and bring you into a deeper yoga practice. You will be notified by if the class is canceled. Please be sure to update your address in your online registration account. Refunds will ONLY be issued for classes cancelled due to low participation or for a doctor documented illness or injury. Late registrations will be accepted into a class that is running; however, pro-rates for missed classes will not be honored. People under the age of 18 cannot participate in ANY UIC Campus Recreation Group Fitness Session classes or Instructional Programs. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to be present during class instruction. free classes are on a first come first serve basis. Please visit our website at rec.uic.edu to review a complete copy of our policies. ere will be no classes at the Student Recreation Facility on ursday, arch 12, and during spring break arch 23-27, ake up sessions if needed will be held ay 4-8, I-CARD POLICY All members participating in UIC Campus Recreation programs are required to show a valid I-Card upon entrance to our facilities. Any person who fails to show their I-Card will be required to pay the daily guest admission to the facility. Nonmembers are required to check at the embership Service Desk. Please make sure to have a government issued PHOTO ID.

8 Registration Information STEP 1: Visit - Click on the REGISTRATIONS icon on the right hand side of the screen STEP 2: Click on the REGISTER ONLINE icon on the left side of the screen STEP 3: Creating your account Students & embers Select the FORGOT PASSORD/ CREATE LOGINS? CLICK HERE Link Enter your address. Please make sure to use the address that is on file with embership Services. You may be asked for your member number (UIN), which can be located on your I-card. An will be sent to you with a user name and password; this is what you will use to log-in. After logging in with the initial assigned user name and password, you will be prompted to choose a new user name or password. is is what you will use to log-in going forward. You will be prompted to create a user name and password. After receiving confirmation of your account, you will be able to log-in with your new user name. STEP 4: Log in Click on the icon that looks like a HOE in the top left corner of the screen Click on PROGRA REGISTRATIONS picture Select the facility that your class will be taking place at in the dropdown box in the upper left hand side To view class, click on the picture or click SELECT Click on a course and VIE PROGRAS ; a description, class times and cost will be displayed Select ADD TO CART Read the waiver and check the accept box, then hit continue Select continue to cart Payment summary screen will appear Enter payment information Confirm the for the receipt to be sent and a second if entered Select submit payment After payment is processed a receipt will appear on your screen Visit rec.uic.edu for more information.
