(Bingo and Pinochle) Tuesdays and Thursdays (Euchre) Wednesdays (Canasta), and Fridays in ("Free Play Fridays"). Please feel free to bring to share. 2 SEPT DEC PROGRAMS Senior Input Meeting Free Popcorn and beverages for those that would like to come and give input and suggestions on senior programs. What are your favorite programs? What programs would you like to see improved? Your Opinion Matters! Don t miss out on this important opportunity to be heard and to give your recommendations for upcoming seasons. A Senior Input Board will be put into place at this meeting for those who would like to become a part of making the Bourbonnais Senior Programs even better by giving us your wonderful suggestions and meeting each month. Location: Village of Bourbonnais Community Center Min/Max: 3/50 Donuts and Coffee Talk Come each week and listen to a professional educated speaker talk on different topics while enjoying coffee, fruit and donuts. Dates and topics include: Heart Health, Financial planning, Know your Options (a speaker from Options will go over different resources that Options Center for Independent Living offers), and how to keep your mind and body active without leaving your home. Lunch will be served at 11:00 am, but the room will open at 10:30 a.m. for you to come and socialize with your friends. Stay after for an afternoon filled with board games, Bingo and fun. The first meeting will be an introductory meeting to get you acquainted with your group, introduce and choose the books you ll be reading and discussing. What a great way to get out of the house and relax while meeting with friends and making new ones. This is a free program but pre-registration is required. No Problem The Bourbonnais Township Park District is now offering a variety of classes Monday - Friday and offers a membership that can work for you to keep you fit and healthy with classes guided by qualified experienced instructors that want to help keep you active or become active. They will work with whatever fitness level you are at, so beginners or fitness veterans, the Bourbonnais Township Park District has something for YOU! Just like swimming, our aqua aerobics classes are easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Because of their low-impact format, water aerobics classes are suitable for every age and fitness level. Participants may bring and use their own water shoes if desired. Showers and locker rooms available. This class will meet on Thursdays, from 10:00-10:45a at Riverside Independent Living, 100 Westwood Oaks Ct., Kankakee, IL. Wellness Afternoons Join us every Thursday for open swim in the heated pool and spa; or work-out in the fitness center with our innovative senior-specific equipment and machines.
