2 The Black Chamber of Orange County is hosting its 21st Annual Awards Banquet at the Grove of Anaheim on Thursday August 23 rd, 2012 from 5:30pm - 10:00pm. Veterans and Business is our theme this year and we will feature, highlight and salute those businesses that support Housing, Employment, Health, and Education. It is our intent to create a veteran s element within the chamber, providing support through access to information and other means, in an effort to ensure they are supported. We will also recognize several veteran groups, who have been essential and influential in our community throughout the year. Special leading veteran affairs decision makers and key veteran individuals have been invited to participate in our annual event. Come hear more about veteran initiatives such as, Disneyland s Hero's Work Here, JP Morgan Chase s Military Veterans Affairs Initiative, Orange County Veterans Advisory Council, our local congressional and state leaders, (Senator Lou Correa, Congressman Ed Royce and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, Cal Vet Secretary Peter Gravett) and a host of others that are supporting our veterans needs. Over 500 people attended our gala reception last year! And this year s event will be tremendously impactful with history, information and opportunities, which include entrepreneurial and contract opportunities.
