PROJECT RETURN Opened Joined Homes with Hope October Serving young women in crisis. Hales Court Opened November Ten units serving individuals and families in Westport. Opened mid Two units serving individuals and families in Norwalk. Opened July Six units serving individuals and families in Westport. Homes with Hope s mission is to support the homeless and those at-risk of homelessness. With a caring professional staff and the help of more than 500 volunteers, we assist people who have lost their ability to lead independent lives. Each night, over 100 people seek shelter or housing in one of our many programs. While 70% of our funding comes from private individuals and foundations, we are publicly supported by the State of CT, and the Towns of Westport, Weston and Wilton. Homes with Hope has grown significantly since first opening in 1983, when food and shelter for homeless people were offered in an abandoned firehouse. The agency realized that food and shelter alone were not enough to help people move from homelessness to self-reliance. In response, Homes with Hope expanded the support services and housing options available to clients by providing the resources needed for them to be successful in their journey out of homelessness. We fulfill our mission through a continuum of services that starts with feeding the hungry through our Community Kitchen and Food Pantry. This includes emergency shelters, Permanent Supportive Housing, case management services, pre-employment training, and mentoring. To learn more visit our website at

3 Stand up for the STAR Stand up comedy produces laughter and laughter heals. Your contribution produces support and your support helps! Hasan Minhaj is a comedian, actor, and writer. He is the senior political and congressional correspondent on the Emmy and Peabody award-winning program The Daily Show. A 2014 Just For Laughs New Face, he was recently selected by the Sundance Institute to develop Homecoming King and feature film at the prestigious New Frontier Storytelling Lab. A featured storyteller for The Moth, his work has garnered acclaim in film, web, and television. He hosted the documentary special Stand Up Planet produced by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. His viral web series The Truth with Hasan Minhaj has been featured in countless publications including The Huffington Post, Gawker, and New York Times. He has made guest apprearances on a variety of other television programs including Arrested Development, HBO s Getting On, on Comedy Central.

4 Stand up for the VENUE The Quick Center for the Arts Serving the intellectually hungry and perpetually curious, the Quick Center for the Arts at provides a home for the exploration of remarkable and inspiring performing arts opportunities for the community at large. Located just a few miles from Westport, Weston, Easton, and Bridgeport, the Quick Center houses the 740-seat Aloysius P. Kelley, S.J. Theatre, the 120-seat Lawrence A. Wien Experimental (Black Box) Theatre, and the Thomas J. Walsh, Jr. Art Gallery where Stand Up patrons will enjoy an art display that highlights the finest of fine arts. Homes with Hope first staged its Stand Up performance in 2008 when Lewis Black performed to a sellout crowd. We are thrilled to be back in this wonderful venue.
