2 CLAUDINE LABELLE Founder and President As FitSpirit s founding president, it is a pleasure and honour to invite you to our second Father-Daughter Ball. As the name suggests, the lavish event brings fathers and daughters together for the space of an evening to share special moments that will make a lasting impression. This year s Father-Daughter Ball will transport guests to the sunny, festive atmosphere of Rio de Janeiro. Father and daughter pairs will be treated to the joyful, eclectic sounds and flavours of Brazil. Proceeds from the event will go to support FitSpirit s important work, and help more young girls discover the fun and benefits of physical activity. Last spring, over 500 people attended the first edition of FitSpirit s Father-Daughter Ball, raising no less than $460,000. Join us on warmer shores. I look forward to seeing you there! That is why Power Corporation of Canada has been supporting their efforts for years, and why I decided earlier this year to get personally involved as a patron of FitSpirit s first fundraising event, the Father-Daughter Ball. The bash was a resounding success. I was accompanied by my two daughters, Sara-Jeanne, 14, and Rosalie, 12, who had a great time and are still talking about it.
