2 THE L1 TEMPERAMENT TYPE Leopards are independent, quiet lone rangers. They are thorough and task-focused and work at own pace. They want clearly defined tasks, to the point information and they need psychological space. Leopards have a strong need to do things right. They are the kind of people who actually read instruction manuals. They are great at providing quality control in any situation that demands accuracy, such as accounting or engineering. Because consistency and high standards are too important to Leopards, they are often frustrated by those who do not share these same characteristics. Their strong need for maintaining high (and sometimes unrealistic) standards can short-circuit their ability to express warmth in a relationship. Leopards are sometimes perceived by others as negative due to their realistic nature. 3 THE L2 TEMPERAMENT TYPE Elephants relate well to people. They are calm, considerate, organized and consistent in their behavior. They are patient communicators, like detail and confirmation. One work describes these people: loyal. They re so loyal, in fact, that they can absorb emotional pain and punishment in a relationship and still stay committed. They are empathetic listeners and warm encouragers. They do not force their opinions or values on others. Elephants are also task focused, they are good managers and good administrators. They are competitive and fast-paced. They are usually individuals who seek new adventures and opportunities. Lions are confident and self -reliant. In a group setting, if no one else instantly takes charge, the Lion will. Unfortunately, their natural dominating traits can cause problems with others. Most true entrepreneurs are strong Lions, or at least have a lot of Lion in them. Their leadership style will be autocratic, impatient and ego-centric. They re great at motivating others and need to be in an environment where they can talk and have a voice in making major decisions. The dolphin s outgoing nature makes them great networkers. They can be very loving and encouraging unless under pressure, when they tend to use their verbal skills to attack. They have a strong desire to be liked and enjoy being the centre of attention. They are often very attentive to style, clothes and flash. Dolphins are the life on any party, and most people really enjoy being around them.
