2 Course Description One of the greatest challenges for the practicing urologist is staying abreast of the latest advances in the field. This course is designed for practicing urologists who are interested in updating their knowledge in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of urologic problems. Distinguished faculty will present advances in the management of urological disease; including sexual function, uro-oncology, robotic and reconstruction surgery with a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of various urological procedures. There will be ample time for questions and answers. Objectives Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: Assess and correct various problems with incontinence and voiding dysfunction in the adult. Identify appropriate patients with advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma for treatment with targeted therapies. Incorporate into clinical practice advances in the management of prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. Analyze advances in the minimally invasive treatment of prostate cancer in order to optimize outcomes for the treatment of localized prostate cancer. Assess state of the art treatments for stones. Properly screen patients to determine the best surgical option that will result in the best patient outcome. Determine the latest methodology in the diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction. Describe the latest management of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Recognize clinical presentation and treatment options of various urologic abnormalities. Recognize the present role of laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgery in urology.
