1 ECCnet Registry Release 11.5 Release Notes Overview GS1 Canada is continually enhancing ECCnet Registry based on community business requirements and feedback from our users. This document outlines new or revised attributes and functionalities available in ECCnet Registry Release 11.5: Enhancements for All Sectors Grocery and Foodservice Attribute Changes General Merchandise Attribute Changes GDSN Foodservice and General Merchandise Pharmacy Attribute Changes Existing Optional Attributes Becoming Mandatory in May 2019 For details of all changing attributes, see the Attributes, Code Lists, Validations Delta document on the ECCnet Registry Technical Documents page. Enhancements for All Sectors Continued Global Standards alignment with GDSN to enable data synchronization with global trading partners. To view updated attributes and code values impacting GDSN data providers, see the Attributes, Code Lists, Validations Delta document on the ECCnet Registry Technical Documents page. GDSN GDSN Global Product Classification (GPC) codes have been changed to comply with GS1 global changes. GPC codes in the table below have been removed to align with the June 2018 GPC Publication. 2 Code Description Serving/Drinking Glasses Serving/Eating/Drinking Tableware Other Serving/Eating/Drinking Tableware Variety Packs Table Covers - Non Fabric/Non Textile For details about these changes, see the GPC Code Delta Report in the ECCnet Technical Documents page. Disabled GTIN Delete For an active product that is no longer in the market place, we recommend that you discontinue the GTIN, not delete it. This action is in line with global best practices for GTIN life cycle management. The delete function has been disabled in ProSYNC under the following circumstances: The GTIN is active in the marketplace (has been published to at least one trading partner). The GTIN is active for a GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) data recipient with a global registration status of Registered, Pending Registration, or Rejected. The Delete button is visible only if the GTIN you have selected (not hierarchy) has never been active in the marketplace (never published to any trading partner). Before you delete a GTIN, you should also review GTINs associated with the selected GTIN (for example packaging hierarchy). Rebranding User interface branding has been revised to reflect current GS1 Canada Branding Guidelines. Additional attribute for all sectors Attribute Packing Group TDG Description The regulation may have a packing group number which means a group in which dangerous goods are included based on the inherent danger of the dangerous goods. 3 Impact All data providers Data recipients Description Prepare internal processes and systems to provide updated attributes and code values as applicable. Review the GTIN management standards to ensure creation or update of GTINs align to the standards. TAKE ACTION: To receive ECCnet product data from your business partners, you must ensure that your internal processes and systems can receive data with the revised attribute name and options. Grocery and Foodservice Attribute Changes Changes have been made to improve data accuracy and completeness.
