Unifying Project supports literacy The Unifying Project for the 2018 Texas State Organization is Storybook Christmas. Since its inception n 1991, Storybook Christmas has provided over 430,000 new books for underprivileged children. Ann Badolati Roznovsky, a recently deceased honorary member of Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, initiated the joint project of the Waco Tribune-Herald and the Central Texas Literacy Coalition. Mrs. Roznovsky characterized the gift of books as the first step...to break the endless cycle of illiteracy and the poverty that accompanies illiteracy. As leading women educators, members can help Storybook Christmas bridge the gap between illiteracy and literacy. Each member is asked to bring to convention new children s storybooks appropriate for the 3-10 age range. Books should not be in bags or wrapped in anyway. More information is available at Article from Lone Star News, Spring 2018, Vol. 71, No. 3, page 5.
