1 Newsletter March 2011 Gruene Chapter meeting highlights The morning started out wet, but ended up a nice day even though it was a bit windy. We began with a group picture at the Gazebo in New Braunfels followed by the monthly meeting at Westside Community Center. Mike McFalls updated the members on fun events coming up on the calendar and encouraged everyone to come out to ride and have fun. See the Upcoming Events for more details. Ellie and Jill gave us the first look at the Spring line from Harley Davidson. There was something for everyone, from a bright pink glitter helmet to the new line of men s vintage shirts. Ellie also reminded us that all Nylon motorcycle outerwear is 15% off. After the meeting, we headed to Boerne for the Annual Chuckwagon Cook-off. 25 people (20 bikes) participated in the ride on Saturday. Our group made quite an entrance with so many bikes. Soon after we arrived, we were served a tasty meal of chicken fried steak, potatoes, beans, biscuits and peach cobbler at the Rocking 12 team wagon. Great ride and a great day! 5 Boobiepalooza Our organization is dedicated to aiding those who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and have incurred expenses that are not covered by health insurance. Established in San Antonio, by Ray and Yvette Sanchez, the name Boobiepalooza refers to our team name for Race for the Cure. Both Ray and Yvette are Breast Cancer SURVIVORS. MISSION: Our mission is to aid those who are temporarily unable to work due to chemotherapy or other side effects of breast cancer treatment. We are dedicated to helping cancer patients financially by paying for out of pocket expenses not covered by health insurance like paying an electric bill or putting food on the table while going through your treatments. 1st Annual Boobiepalooza Motorcycle Run First ever motorcycle run is scheduled for April 23, It will be a day filled with riding, fun, food and door prizes. Registration begins at 7am at the corner of Babcock Rd and Loop 1604 Or you can pre-register on this website. 5
