1 MAGIC VALLEY YMCA 2019 PROGRAM & EVENT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES BRINGING THE WHOLE COMMUNITY TOGETHER Serving Twin Falls and the entire Magic Valley The Magic Valley YMCA would like to give local businesses the opportunity to help keep our community healthy and active by becoming a program/event sponsor. In this packet is a list of programs and events your business can sponsor. Becoming a sponsor: Helps keep the cost of programs low for participants. Advertises your business on program shirts, brochures and/or signage. Supports youth development, healthy living and social responsibility for youth and community members. You become a Mission Partner with the YMCA and are part of a worldwide movement whose cause is to Strengthen the Foundation of Community. What Does the Y do for Our Community? The Magic Valley YMCA serves over 3,500 individuals in our community through programs and membership. The Y serves over 1,200 youth under the age of 18. Because of donors and sponsors like you the YMCA gave out over $70,000 in financial assistance last year to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow through YMCA programs and membership. Your sponsorship helps strengthen our community. It allows us to offer financial assistance for programs that help people reach their fullest potential. You can choose to sponsor one or a variety of programs with multiple commitment levels and they all provide marketing and publicity opportunities for your company. In recognition of your generosity, we will include your company s logo or name on a variety of promotional materials such as program banners, flyers and social media. 3 3 SAFETY AROUND WATER AWARENESS Idaho ranks number two in the country (behind Florida) in unintentional drownings in the United States. With pools, rivers, lakes, canals and other bodies of water in our area water safety awareness is extremely important. The YMCA teaches more swim lessons than anyone else throughout the country and has a history of advocating for water safety especially among our children. The Safety Around Water Program consists of school water safety presentations, community presentations at health fairs and other community events and swim lessons for ages 6 months and older. Participants in our program gain confidence by learning new skills and have a healthy respect for water which will keep them safe and allow them to enjoy aquatic activities to their fullest. WARRIOR STRONG KIDS RUN The YMCA Warrior Strong Kids Run is a quarter mile to one mile obstacle course event for children ages This event instills a sense of accomplishment for each participant as well as promotes a healthy and active lifestyle. The YMCA is giving the youth of our community a chance to get outside, move, commit, achieve, and gain confidence testing their physical and mental boundaries. SPONSOR: $1,500 Your company s logo will be on all promotional materials (flyers, brochures, banners, posters, social media, etc.) and participant T-shirts. Your company will be recognized as the title sponsor: Magic Valley YMCA Warrior Strong Kids Race Powered by (Your Company Name). Banner with your company s logo displayed at the YMCA facility throughout the year. Your company will be recognized on event social media posts on Facebook from May through August.

4 4 YMCA AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM The YMCA Afterschool Program instills the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility into all participants through activities that build the spirit, mind and body. At YMCA Afterschool, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum with opportunities for character development, STEAM activities, arts and humanities, community service and physical activity. YMCA Afterschool is a structured program with time for kids to start homework, engage in active fun and enjoy a snack with friends. The YMCA currently offers an afterschool program at two locations: at the YMCA facility and at Jefferson Elementary School in Jerome serving all elementary age students in the Jerome School District. We are also looking to expand the program to other sites in the coming years. TITLE SPONSOR: $10,000 per year/per site Your company will be recognized as the title sponsor: Magic Valley YMCA Afterschool Program Powered by (Your Company Name). Banner with your company s logo displayed at the YMCA facility and the afterschool program site if not located at the YMCA. Your company will be recognized on event social media posts on Facebook throughout the school year. SUPERHERO KIDS RUN The Superhero Kids Run is a chance for kids to live like their favorite superhero for a day. Kids will dress up like their favorite superhero, run a mile and engage in other activities with other kids. Proceeds from the Superhero Kids Run benefit YMCA Youth Development Programs. SPONSOR: $1,000 Your company s logo will be on all promotional materials (flyers, brochures, banners, posters, social media, etc.) and participant T-shirts. Your company will be recognized as the title sponsor: Magic Valley YMCA Superhero Kids Run Powered by (Your Company Name). Banner with your company s logo displayed at the YMCA facility throughout the year. Your company will be recognized on event social media posts on Facebook from August through October.

5 HALLOWEEN TREK OR TREAT Trek or Treat is a Halloween family-friendly alternative to trick or treating. The YMCA is set up with a variety of activities, treat stations, a campfire and fun games in which all ages can participate. Activities include a cake walk, haunted maze, hot chocolate at the campfire, carnival games and more. FAMILY MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS Many families in our area can benefit greatly from a YMCA membership, but due to circumstances are unable to afford the full price of membership. Your sponsorship can help 20 families have a YMCA membership for an entire year where they will have the opportunity to learn and grow to their fullest potential. 6 YOUTH SPORTS Todays youth can benefit from a positive, values-based youth sports program to help get them active while learning new skills and socializing with other kids. YMCA youth sports values participation, sportsmanship, skill development, socializing and having fun. Sports include flag football, volleyball, soccer and a variety of camps and clinics. SPONSOR: $7,500/year Your company s logo recognition on all promotional materials (flyers, brochures, banners, posters, social media, etc.). Your company will be recognized as the title sponsor: Magic Valley YMCA Youth Sports Powered by (Your Company Name). Banner with your company s logo displayed at the YMCA facility throughout the year. Recognition on our display monitors located throughout the YMCA facility. Company recognition on the YMCA s website. Your company will be recognized on event social media posts on Facebook throughout the year. DAY CAMP/SCHOOL S OUT PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS The YMCA is the best place for a child to be when school is out, especially during the summer and school breaks such as Christmas Vacation and Spring Break. The YMCA offers day camps during these no school days and our policy is that we don t turn anyone away due to the inability to pay full program fees. While we expect our participants to pay their fair share we understand that there are circumstances that prohibit some families from paying full price. We provide scholarships to those who can demonstrate need and rely on the community s support in order to offer this service. Your sponsorship will support scholarships for 200 camper weeks throughout the year (a camper week is one child registered for one week of camp).
