1 Homemaker Kick-Off 2017 Thanks to everyone who helped make this year s Homemaker Kick-off a great success. Cindy Withrow and Kathy Hunter helped with program arrangements, and Joan Hacker served as our master of ceremonies! More thanks to Brenda Clark and Jackie Waibel for organizing our Cultural Arts Contest. Congratulations to Maryloretto Resing for winning the cultural arts drawing! Finally, thanks to all of you for coming, and sharing updates on our scholarship winners. Also for participating in our important lesson on our Opioid Crisis. Remember, the N. KY. Helpline number is County Cultural Arts Winners Note we hope to see all of these items at the area contest on October 24. Let Kathy know if you want her to take your item to the contest, held with the Area Annual Meeting. 5 Special Thanks. To all who helped with our 6th District School program. Once again the children really enjoyed and appreciated not only our shirt and scarf gifts, but the gift of our time and attention. Thanks to Peggy Haskell, Rosemary Davis, Joan Hacker, Peggy McKnight, Elizabeth Drees, Kathy Hunter and Ann Rabe for cutting out the 70 + scarves we needed and assembling the gift bags. Also thanks to Joan Hacker, Rosemary Davis, Peggy McKnight, Jan Hamilton, Mary Averbeck, and Lori Clark for visiting with the children and helping them with their scarf project. Most of all, thanks to each of you who contributed to the challenge of each member donating $6 towards the purchase of the To Bob Tewes, Kenton County District Board Chair man. Bob was the winner of our Scholarship Quilt Raffle! A BIG thank you to the Never Finished Sewers for this wonderful quilt project...they donated time, talent, and funding.
6 Thank you!!!! For helping us put on a wonderful Tea Fund Raising Event!! This tea was a lot of work, but our members stepped up for a job well done. We had so much help from members with loaning and donating dishes, preparing food, washing dishes, ironing tablecloths and napkins, decorating, making donations and attending! Thanks to a job well done, we raised enough money to be able to give our scholarships again this spring. And we still have a beautiful quilt to assist with this cause! Again, thanks to all, but especially to our team leaders handling different aspects of the tea: -Maryloretto Resing Securing and gathering all the donated dishes. Huge job!! -Cindy Withrow Silent Auction -Kathy Hunter Keeper of the cash!, Set Up -Diane Arlinghaus, Peggy Baum and Peggy Haskell Food preparation and styling; clean and set up. *Also thanks to all our worker bees for their help with all the details that made the event great: Judy Allesandro Lucky Donovan Marla Johnson Rosemary Shea Brenda Clark Joan Hacker Cathy Kunkel-Mains Evelyn Tolliver Mary Cox Jan Hamilton Peggy McKnight Bonnie Zellen Mary Lou Zirkelbach
