Welcome to the new NCOCC Board of Directors. Glad to have a few new/old faces. Going to miss the outgoing ones. Dave Kitchen has lined up a venue for our Recogni on Luncheon at Stone Ridge Country Club (same place as last year) on July 30th. He has some imagina ve plans for the run to get there. Stay tuned! 5 DYNO DAY AT JBA SPEED SHOP June 25, 2016 Photos and descrip on contributed by Dwight Alexander A nice group of Corve e Club members met at the Penasquitos Park & Ride and proceeded down to JBA in Kearny Mesa. We first got a tour of the whole facility by J. Bi le, himself, including his two Wheel Dynos and a very high tech Engine Dyno. A er the usual paperwork we lined up 6 cars to take turns on the Dyno! They all seemed to have more power than adver sed by the factory and of course some have some add ons. We had a delicious Lunch and cha ed with the employees and got a lot of interes ng informa on! Hope to see JBA again as they host a Cars & Coffee the 2nd Sunday of every month. 5

6 RUSSO STEELE AUCTION JUNE 11, 2016 Submi ed by Rick Toomey From last Month my update for Russo Steele, was a lot of fun and challenging. Driving an automa c as the daily driver; then ge ng into a 70 s 4 on the floor brought back memories. The cars with carburetors that needed to set the choke were also a blast from the past; we do not have to do that anymore on our newer Ve es! I enjoyed the classic muscle cars like the 69 Mustang drag car and a Torino Cobra. It was fun to drive cars across the auc on block and all the excitement and ac vity in the tent. The other drivers were very helpful with their vast experience with all the different cars. We had lunch and dinner provided and everyone had a good me. I would definitely do this again and recommend it to the membership. 6

8 RAMONA CRUISE NIGHT JUNE 30, 2016 Submi ed by Sam Rindskopf Well the Ramona Cruise Night couldn t have been any be er for both Ramona and the North County Corve e Club. We had over 16 Corve es most of which were from the NCOCC and a few locals who joined us. The line of Corve es cruising through downtown Ramona was impressive and we got lots of thumbs up and applause from the spectators. Of course Bob and Lena were huge fan favorites with their Mickey Mouse gloves waving to the crowd. While I was the lead Corve e my wife Donna brought up the rear in our 57 Nomad. You see we had our two grandsons visi ng, one from Reno and the other from Denver so we had to press the Nomad into ac on since we all four couldn t fit in the Ve e. Donna cruised with grandson Sage and I had grandson Jude in the Ve e with me, of course we had the top down since the weather was perfect. A er doing a lap up and down Main Street we all headed to Amici s Italian Restaurant for some really good food. All in all I would declare the event a huge success and will offer to lead a cruise night run again next year unless we have a lot of members that want to do another one this year. 8

10 Our Club Club members enjoy planned trips, car shows, fun runs, auto rallies, and a host of social and Corvette related events, including a Holiday Party, an Annual Recognition Dinner, and the NCoCC Plastic Fantastic all Corvette Show at Seaport Village. We support local communities in the San Diego County area by participating in special event parades and high school homecoming events. Our members also devote time, energy, and resources in supporting our club charity, the USO (United Services Organization) of San Diego. Meetings Business Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at The Well Church Meeting Room located at Midland Road, Poway, CA. We always welcome and encourage guests to attend our meetings and to participate in our club sponsored events. For a map of our meeting location, please go to our web site at Membership Membership is open to anyone at least 18 years of age who owns a Corvette. Applicants must attend two business meetings and participate in one club event before becoming a member.
