1 21st Fenland Open Meet 2017 Manor Leisure Centre, Whittlesey 28th May 2017 Our small team of swimmers swam superbly at this year s Fenland Open Meet in Whittlesey. Star performers were Amy Tappern, who won four golds and a silver medal, and William Kong, who won two gold and two silvers - well done to both of them! By the end of the competition, the team walked away with six gold, 10 silvers, four bronze medals, 49 personal best times and two County Qualifying Times. We had a few younger swimmers, swimming events for the first time in competition. They should be proud of themselves as they swam very well, including Megan Black (100m front crawl and 100m breast), Alfie Rowell (100m back), Holly Griffin (100m IM), Scarlet Clifford (100m IM) and Isabella Hunter (50m front crawl). Our medal winners were: Gold Amy Tappern - 100m Front crawl (Gold for a second year!) 100m Breast, 100m IM, 100m Back William Kong - 100m Front crawl, 100m IM (Gold in both events for a second year!)
