4 Activation of skin tanning (clinical efficacy) Protocol: Unipertan was tested for its ability to improve tanning in a SPF cream. 3 creams (I, II, III) were applied on the back of 22 middleaged subjects, before and 5-6 hours after the irradiation. Irradiations were done 12 times, each 48h, and below the MED (minimum erythema dose). Skin colour was measured with LF 90 colour measuring device. Result: During the treatment, Unipertan works as an activator of skin tanning, with a lasting effect after treatment. 5 Assessment of the tanning obtained (clinical efficacy) Protocol: In parallel with the test run previously to show Unipertan s ability to improve tanning in a SPF cream, two other assessments were performed: a qualitative assessment by dermatologists; a statistical analysis on the intensity of tanning by computer. Result: Unipertan significantly affords a more rapid, more intensive and more sustained tanning of human skin in response to UV irradiation. 6 Comparison of the different version of Unipertan (clinical efficacy) Protocol: In continuation of the experimentation run previously, the tanning efficacy of the different version of Unipertan was compared. These three products differentiated by their different energetic activators, were introduced in creams at 5%. Result: For each cream, Unipertan achieved around the same intensity of skin tanning. But Unipertan 2002 is faster than the other versions.
