Next have students move to a good personal space. Teacher will call out an exercise for students to perform for 30 seconds to 1 minute. After each exercise have student check heart rate by finding their pulse. If heart beat is faster than before, then have students give you a thumbs up. If heart beat is slower than before, then have students give you a thumbs down. slides #26 28 to teach Hands Only CPR. Each student will have a soft foam or playground ball to practice on. May use the song Stayin Alive. View videos on PowerPoint then let students practice with a foam or soft playground ball. Call 911. Place the heel of one hand on top of the ball. Place the other hand on top of the first hand. Lock elbows. Push fast and hard, 100 times per minute or to the beat of the song Stayin Alive.
