Athletes will be grouped by appropriate accommodations; net height and ball size. The camp will also provide opportunities to enhance volleyball IQ and increase volleyball game comfort through small group games and multiple touch drills. 2 Skills Training Clinics This training provides options specifically for elite level, club athletes as well as recreational and competitive athletes. Choose the skill you wish to focus on for each clinic session (one skill per clinic). Athletes may build a personal training plan based on the skills they wish to improve upon by attending multiple clinics. Elite Serving Training Clinic I The elite serving training will develop and enhance appropriate game management skills, individual skill packages and offensive strategies through individual and small group drills. The potential content covered will include management of location (space and time), management of assets, phase responsibilities of the position and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice. Elite Setting Training Clinic I The elite setter training will develop and enhance appropriate game management skills, individual skill packages and offensive strategies through individual and small group drills. The potential content covered will include management of location (space and time), management of assets, phase responsibilities of the position and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice. Elite Defensive Specialist & Libero Position Training Clinic I The elite defensive position training will develop and enhance appropriate spatial management skills, game management skills and individual skill packages through individual and small group drills. The potential content covered will include digging with a variety of range and velocity, identifying appropriate focus during defensive progressions, defining and developing phase responsibilities and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice. Elite Hitting Training Clinic I The elite hitter training will develop and enhance appropriate footwork patterns, skill packages and game situation management skills with individual and small group drills. The potential content covered will include attacking from various locations and tempos, identifying appropriate terminal strategies, defining and refining phase responsibilities of the position and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice. Training in the morning will concentrate on skill development focusing on passing, serving, hitting, setting, defense, blocking and DX3 Performance Training. During the afternoon, we will integrate the morning skill development into multiple skill drills and game play situations. Athletes will be divided into groups appropriate to skill level. Individual athlete Fee $155 per week New to Elite Athletes DX3 Performance Training Lunch provided daily by BlueStar Cafe 18 hours total training each week Aug 11 Aug 13 Aug 18 Aug 20 High School & Middle School Tryouts Preparatory Private Training Package LoneStar Volleyball offers small group and private lessons led by an experienced coaching staff specializing in all positions, skills and training. Training includes setting, positional hitting, passing, defense, blocking, the mental game, transition and footwork and performance training. This package is intended for high school athletes who are preparing for tryouts. Package fee per athlete: $200 (a $55 savings) Training plans customized to meet your athlete s training goals Senior level coach conducts training Package includes 3 hours of private training sessions in the same week (Saturday to Saturday) To schedule this private training package, contact us via at scheduling@lonestarvolleyball.net. As a Beast of The Jungle youth athletes can train in small instructor led groups starting on the hour or half-hour throughout our hours of operation. TeamDX3 are experts in engaging kids building their self-esteem while improving them athletically. We will have special guest teachers for Science Experiments and Arts and Crafts. We will also have free play time where kids can use any equipment including our 3 trampolines and inflatables!
